I’m trying to interface with the occupancy sensor in the front passenger seat. It is a gel filled pad with a pressure sensor used to detect the weight of the passenger. I’m looking for the pin out of the 6 pin connector, it seems it might be on CAN or LIN. Here’s a picture of the one in my truck. Can anyone provide a schematic?

That's the OCSM and it's on the HS2 bus which really has nothing of utility for you.

Thanks for the reply, I’d like to know if the passenger seat is occupied for a project I’m working on and can figure out the CAN messages if I know the pin outs or what wire colors do what.

You might have better luck tapping the LED that show if the airbag is on or not (look up in the truck for an orange light ;)

The bus itself is pretty important in what it's linked with. Personally I wouldn't tap it as shorting it or otherwise jamming it can / will mess up all sorts of vital functions.

Headlights, airbags, gear selector, steering wheel module, etc.... aka, a bus that can cause lots of headaches.

Thanks and thanks for the advice, I’ll look into the orange light as an alternative option.
