The Co Pilot 360 prep enable will fail because his APIM OS version is too new. It checks the current version and if its not one listed it will fail. He is currently on (CY) which is 23159. I forget which ones are listed but they are on the TSB.

Any idea how to fix this? What is the listed version? is there any way to revert it back to the needed version?
Its a east fix with Forscan if you take it home and get Forscan its takes a few seconds

Any instructions for it? I have never used Forscan.

Once you get it, go to forscan.org to download FORscan and sign up for the forum to get a free license to use FORscan. Then go pick up your truck, download teamviewer and allow Jesse to remote into your computer to work his module magic. A lot of members here (including myself more than once) have had him remote in to fix something or another, so do it with confidence.

I have ordered the OBDLink EX adapter. Now, i need to get the truck back first before I can do any changes there. I am not sure if the truck is not drivable as the dealer says.

I went to the dealership today and they are not willing to return the truck. They said that they are waiting for Ford to help them solve the issue. Unfortunately, the technician working on my truck was not there since he does not work on weekends there. I will go check on Monday with him what is going on.

It looks like there is some truth to what they are saying. I ran your VIN through PTS again and tried pulling the codes to see if I could see any events your truck recorded that can validate what they are saying, and this is what I saw:

I have checked countless trucks for people over the past few years, and I have never seen that message pop up. It seems like there is indeed something wrong with your truck.

No idea. The strange thing is that vehicle history shows they were working on your truck and performed module updates on 9/12, but PTS does not show your truck talked to Ford's servers since 9/8. In order to perform module updates, you have to turn turn ignition on which would be enough to get the TCU to talk to the servers, but it didn't. I don't think they purposely did anything to mess up your truck. As someone who has worked in dealers for the past 13 years, I can tell you that having a heat case like that in a dealer service department is not something they want.

The only good thing is at moment strikes are not hitting Ford so whatever parts they need shouldn't be delayed anymore than a month ago. Hopefully you can get better info talking to the tech on Monday. I doubt whatever happened was intentional. As I said maybe Ford told them to throw parts at the problem and they started unplugging things.
Dealers have to follow whatever steps Ford tells them to do if they want to be paid for warranty work.
