Got a notice for a software update this morning and got all excited it was BC 1.4. It wasn’t- some airflow update. Boo.

Received BC 1.4, IPMA 24.204.10.9 update yesterday. I’ve had BC 1.4 running on my ‘22 since January’24 via FDRS/Forscan.

It requested 95 min to install but ended up taking 62 min. Interestingly , my original battery was at 12.63 v 92% SOC at the start of the install and when finished it had knocked it down to 12.3 v and 32% SOC. Took it for a test drive today with BC to see if anything changed and all remains the same. Next week will mark 3 years of ownership and it’s been a fantastic truck.

The BC 1.4 may be coming soon. I got the HVAC 24.5.0 on 1/13 and BC 1.4 on 1/14.

Well, Problems already, Bought the 2 day license but now I think I have a bad Mongoose as noththing will recognize it. Not Forscan or FDRS or toolbox. Even the Opus Activation won't.
When plugged into my laptop it flashes fast green.
I think it's supposed to be solid? Any Ideas?

You have to do the stupid warranty register part of the mongoose driver setup or it won’t work. That part is not clearly explained, it seems like it’s optional but it’s not.

Tried that multiple times on 2 different laptops, At the end is says Activation Failed. Can't find Device.
When you plug your into your laptop is the light on the mongoose solid green or flashing green?
Just curious.

I think it's bad so I ordered another one from Amazon, returning this one. New one should be here tomorrow to try again.

I've never seen a bad Mongoose. I would post on the FDRS thread and not here for help.

Have you tried to swap out the USB cable part of it? I would assume most people have a USB A to B cable around the house from a printer or something else.

Try using it for FORScan. Do something simple like a module reboot or something just to see if it can communicate with the truck.

If you have not already done so, download from the Opus/IVS website the J2534 Toolbox application. Plug your Mongoose into your laptop and run the application. You’ll see a tab that says “Support” that has a series of diagnostics that will check your installation, the connection to the truck via the OBD port and a couple of diagnostics for the device itself, like newer drivers. The diagnostic tests are Install Check, Vehicle Check and Device Check. Run all of them and if a test flags something, follow the instructions. You might see an update under Device Check for a newer driver. I did recently that took my driver from 1.0.18.0 to 1.0.68.0. See if that helps.
