Evidently I have not received this update yet because I just came back from a short trip where I was able to use cruise and I have to engage LKA separately .
It is not an over the air update. Only available with FDRS and brings the new BC feature support (not enabled). Someday it should get sent OTA unless Ford chooses not to bother with our old trucks. I installed it myself with FDRS and OP had dealer update truck to fix something else.

If I was a betting man, I would bet that Ford WILL be pushing out 1.3/1.4 to the trucks. I say that because after a 50 week halt on pushing it to the BC 1.0 Mach-E, they all of the sudden released it in droves to the 2022-2023's starting a couple of weeks ago.
And yesterday Ford officially posted that after much delay, they are now finally releasing it OTA and, of course, thanked us for our patience. :)

Thanks. I'm sure that Ford will start leaving us older trucks behind citing hardware compatibility problems.

My patience ran out week of July 4th when I installed it myself. :)
I'm still waiting to see if that mystery BCM update locked behind extra login will come OTA.

Of course they're going to push it out to the older trucks...they've gotta get those $800 annual subscriptions.

I don't think that will be the reason. I think at some point they will make a statement and be like cellphones, Windows, other software. Updates will cease on X years after vehicle model year. Seeing now updates are going to 22 and 23 trucks usually first before 21 trucks. Our end of life is coming but I think the updates will still be possible with FDRS if the OTA switch is turned off.

thank you .... I paid my $600 already so this will be a welcomed update !
If Ford would offer me 3 years for $600 with either my Mach-E or Powerboost, I'd pay up immediately.

I'm stunned that they want 4X that.
Not going to happen. And I'm not exactly a frugal fella in my golden years.

Versus 2-day FDRS any time we want for 50 bucks? I'm with you on that one ?. I plan every 12 months unless an update appears which I simply MUST have ?‍♂ ?

Once fully updated to what is available this summer I don't see these trucks getting better. Might be a few bug fixes left to do but that should be it.

I have not seen lane centering move away within lane from large vehicles with my adaptive cruise. Maybe that is a Bluecruise paid exclusive. ?

That it would be a BC thing makes sense; we don't have it here in our primitive land anyway. But I can say, after doing the updates available to me, lane centering is certainly better. It seems dead centre of the lane and consequently the effort involved in "hands on the wheel" is much reduced when using the "elbow on the console and fingers on the wheel" method ?

I wondered why I started getting some weird warning chime about "lane keep enable cruise control blah blah". It flashes so fast I don't know what it refers to, and I honestly NEVER use cruise control or BlueCruise. It usually pops up after I get off of a "Bluecruise" approved road.

What Ford should do, if they were smart , would be to offer BC 1.4 to all of us that declined it when our trial period expired . Let us have it for a month to try it out at no cost and then make us a deal to take it for 3 years. Getting some money is better than no money, but that's not the corporate way.
