Having owned a Ranger I'd say it has PLENTY of grunt. That little turbo spooled up right fast and in a hurry. I towed 5000# over mountains with it, until, well... kaput.

That 2.3 could use some strengthening. And coupling it with a hybrid would do wonders for output, but it would severely reduce payload. As it stands my PB has like 40# more payload than my Ranger did.

It does make me wonder why the 3.5 isn't the base model for the Super Duty. Or a very cheap upgrade from the stock 6.8L. I was surprised, and disappointed, that Ford didn't roll out a Hybrid Super Duty for this generation. The PPoB is just so GOOD and being able to run EVERYTHING with the engine off/armed is simply amazing. When I drive literally anything other than my PB I wonder "why is the engine still on?"

F250 Tremor with 3.5 PB 7.2k. That would be interesting ?
Yes because you don't buy a F250 Tremor as a work first truck. It's a Mac Daddy personal truck that can do big boy work like tow heavy toys etc. The 6.7L PowerStrokeHO is THE engine, but the standard 6.7 or a PB7.2kW with additional oil cooling and some Tow/Haul Mode tweaking as your next options would be very popular imo.

I still love the look of F250 Tremor and GMC Sierra 1500. If PB didn't have the 7.2kw ProPower onboard, I would have bought either one. You only going to regret of not getting one or getting one that have so many issues or that doesn't meet your expectation. For me, I was looking for a truck to replace our mini van for better use while we are camping and during my fishing trips. The onboard pro power will be a big help for us and that's what I've been looking for since we started camping ,so I knew I will be regretting not buying a PB.

To me these trucks have more than enough problems with just the basics. I had a 18 and now a 21 2.7 and the engine has more than enough to pull various trailers up to 7k. I have a Honda 6.5k generator hooked to the house, this way if I need the truck the house still has power, to me it is a gimmick.
My house has two other cars. If the powers out my truck is dedicated to the cause. If it’s out long enough to need fuel, I’ll be cleaning my guns anyhow.
