My trips are anywhere from 2 miles to 6 miles, I do almost half of each trip in electric. I also usually remote start the truck and let it run for 5 minutes before I get into it.
5 min daily idle is not going to result in good MPG. Nor is city. More idling. More stop/go.

Recently spent some time in the Denver area... mileage around town went up to 27.7 mpg. Attribute this to the rolling hills there allowing longer "on battery" times.

I recently just hit the 1,000 mile mark and while I’m not yet getting the advertised mpg, I am averaging 19mpg running 87 octane, and most of my driving has been in colder weather between 20-50 degrees (Northern IL). I’m in an area that is moderately hilly so not flat but far from mountainous. I believe to get the advertised mpgs you absolutely would need to take it easy but it’s doable. My driving has been a mix of spirited, average, and babying. I’m anticipating I will avg 21-22 mpg now that the truck is broken in, and once warm weather hits.

Factors to keep in mind that would affect mpgs (wind drag, weight, etc). Truck is a Lariat with 1548 payload and tow mirrors. I am 205 and I also have my wife and 3 kids with me about 50% of the time (roughly 500 lbs total including me). Only modifications are a tonneau cover and mud flaps. Truck came with chrome 18s and Goodyear Territory ATs.

Transmission is extremely smooth. I have not experienced any jerkiness or hard shifts. It does typically skip 2nd gear but hasn’t been a problem. Truck does shift firmer in sport mode but that is expected and it hasn’t felt harsh at all. Everyone that has driven or sat in it has been blown away by the power/acceleration. It truly does live up to the “Powerboost” name.

I get 18-19 mpgs at 75mph on primarily flat highway. Conditions have been extremely windy, though (I’ve only had the truck one week; winds 25mph+ almost every day).

Mpgs are usually 19-21 mpg between 60-70 mph.

Trips < 5 miles (from a cold start) usually give me 17-18 mpg. I’ve found that the battery doesn’t have enough of a charge starting out to prevent fuel loss during idling, nor does it have sufficient charge to enter electric mode, much.

Non-Highway trips over 5 miles are really where I find this powertrain shining, as I routinely get 21+ mpg and that has been as high as 28mpg. Speeds are typically between 30-60 mph.

Idling (from non cold start) is great since it can typically be done in electric mode. This has been a big benefit for me while waiting to pick up my kids from school.

Overall, I’ve been pleased with the results. Worse case scenario here for me is I get as good of fuel economy or better, as any non-diesel half ton on the road, and I have more power and the on board 7.2kw generator. But, I’d be very surprised not to see the mpg increase over the next few months.

Do you plug in the engine heater at night? That will help warm the engine for the short trips. Just jump in and start rolling.

Wife drives the truck on the daily and lets say she's a "spirited" driver, I have left this trip on to see what we average. It currently has over 6k miles and she averages over 21mpg, mostly in town driving 70/30% with 87 octane fuel and no modifications to the truck. I can't complain ?‍♂

My truck was delivered on 1/26 with a full tank of 87 octane. Low fuel warning came on today and I filled up with the gauge saying I had 37 miles remaining in the tank.

Having owned hybrid Honda's in the past, I kept track of my mileage @ https://www.fueleconomy.gov. Others share real world mileage as well.

I found my old password info and signed up to log my Powerboost mileage.

Drive mode has been 2 wheel Eco mostly. Had to see how Sport mode worked :)

Not bad for a mix of urban stop go, freeway for 5 miles, repeat.

Wind resistance is the biggest contributor to drag at highway speeds. and high altitude (thin) air has considerably less of it. I've went back and forth between TX & CO many times and the better mpg in CO is quite noticeable. Also if you have a Natural Aspirated fuel injected engine, the ECU will lean the fuel mixture way out saving additional fuel.

Many year ago I roadraced motorcycles at altitude and one of the interesting things was the bikes were absolute dogs, like 30% down on power, but then top speed was just as good do to the reduced wind resistance.

I live at 7500 feet... so in going to Denver I went down to about 5000 feet.

Cold engine, my mpg sucks especially short trips. Fully warm, my PB does awesome. I just dropped my boss off at DFW Airport. I got 25.1mpg driving back to my house.

Tire pressure is always to low what they print on the door label
I always put my tires at 4-5 lbs bellow tire rating
Example 50 lb rated tires I put at 45-46 lbs
It will increase your mileage and better your ride
Give it a try

I'm currently at 18.4 mpg on the cluster, I had a 2k mile trip that helped that immensely. My short stints to work definitely hurt my MPG (13mpg reported) but to me that is City driving. I recently moved and if I don't hit every single red light I get 24mpg reported on a 3 or 4 mile journey. Have not hand calculated in a while.

First time in 21,000 miles that my truck actually made the numbers. When I refilled, it took 11.388 gallons which hand calculates to 23.9 mpg. This was also the first time I used Shell brand gasoline rather than one of the regional brand fuels that I normally use.
