I just checked on my order and see that the window sticker is available. I knew that auto stop/start and heated wheel were going to be removed. But the sticker has a line for Advanced Security Pack Removal with a $50 credit. Does anyone know what is in this pack that is getting removed?

I believe that it is the INTERIOR motion sensor and maybe the tilt sensor (or whatever they call the sensor that detects when your truck is being towed).

moths and large flies everywhere are rejoicing ? ? ?
cant tell how many times i have found a dead flying critter inside
but still, seems pretty lame to remove it. covid supply chain issues is waaaya past an old bs line imo

I can't tell you the number of times I have left my dog in the car and forgotten to turn off the interior sensors. (Yes... I have it prompt me when I turn off the car, but I don't always notice it.)

Same here. Even more frustrating that there isn’t a way to turn them off by default.

You can definitely turn off the interior sensors so they just stay off. You just can't set the "default" to be OFF.

If you don't like it, why not turn them off?

Vehicle -> Alarm System -> "Ask on Exit" and "Motion Sensors"

Entirely possible (if not likely) that it is user error but every time I turn them off in settings it only stays that way until I start the truck again. I haven’t seen them stay off consistently.

I actually love this feature!(California snatch and grabs suck) If I was told this would be happening to my rig, I'd opt to not buy it.

Consider yourself lucky! Multiple threads on how annoying it is with false alarms. Your family and neighbors will thank you.

My work still has POs that won't be filled until middle 23 for some microcontrollers. Some parts cost have gone up 50%. It doesn't have to be an actual shortage, but be scarcity by price.

around here , we live in a rural area, we get the same BS from stores each week.
they cant get milk(except store brand), or lunch meats on any kind of regular basis.
but dam they have tons of freeaking fritos and ice cream
each time its blamed on covid or some body didnt order it.

i have no doubt self inflicted shortages or manufactured shortages are driving the lack of some items like electronics , food , etc
just like people, where did they all go? we did not have an extinction level event, so where are all the people ? tons of jobs around here and no people to fill them.
back to trucks

lets get them built with the stuff we want or were offered. if not then ford, gm, all, etc will suffer and we go back to 2006 when companies couldn't give new cars away. just in time manufacture is a joke and always has been a tight rope to walk and be productive without delays.

Just noticed this on my window sticker. Can someone explain to me what it actually is? I get the tilt, but what is the interior detection?

It can tell it there is movement in the vehicle. Like a motion detector on your home security system
