I have a chrome bumper. I used the attached and it came out pretty good. Just be patient though. if I was to do it again, I would go light on each coat and give it a lot more time between coats. I ended up getting finger prints on mine when handling them as I didn’t wait long enough for them to cure.

Of course you’ll need to find the color that matches your truck though. The Ingot Silver matches the factory color of the tremor skid plate. That’s why I bought that color.

Much appreciated!

Just checking to see if I'm understanding this right: I've got a 2021 502A with Copilot 360 Assist 2.0. I do not have the front parking sensors nor the 360 camera package. I do have the LED fogs and beam bending/auto-leveling headlights and the rear sensors though.

I should be in the same situation as your 601A, correct? Just need to add the 4 sensors to the bumper (Agate Black Metallic, so don't even really need to paint them) and the wiring harness with the plugs? Then enable them in Forscan? I'm horrible at judging where the front of the truck is when trying to park and would love to have some sort of feedback.

BIG thanks to @Jesse-Infotainment I couldn’t accomplish these two projects without him. (Adding 360 view and front parking sensors on XLT).
Jesse walked me from day one through all the process and help me to get the right parts He replied me back every single one of my text (in seconds, literally im seconds) all the time he offered me his help and when the moment came he offered to remotely check all my settings (even on a late Saturday evening) this guy ROCKS , he is smart , helpful and supportive and very patient. THANK YOU JESSE I wasn’t able to do this without your help.

So I just finished adding my front sensors and ACC, I have the option for front sensors on my sync but they’re not working yet. I did see where others have waited a couple hours for it to end up working. Is this the case?

*update 4/24*
So I didn’t turn on the front sensors in forscan but thanks to Jesse, I got them on however yesterday I saw that I had a Lin bus error for the left front inner sensor, turns out it was just the pin on the IPMA. It wasn’t fully seated so now it works!

Did you buy a new bumper or did you drill it out

Ok thanks, wanting to add it to mine, but I have red pepper metallic little pricey to paint and hard to match
I hear that, but earlier in the thread the OP mentioned how he drilled his and there were a couple other people who drilled their bumper as well, I believe the measurements have been posted in here

I just completed this mod this afternoon and while I don’t have any DTC’s the parking sensors are not coming on when I approach anything.

I have done the Forscan changes verified I have the front sensor alert enabled on the main screen. I’m at a loss on what I’m may have missed.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: this on a 2021 502A

I figured this out, I stopped being lazy and read through the thread. I found someone else had the same issue and ended up resolving it with the IPMA module text edit method of Forscan. They changed "Park Assist - Front" from disabled to enabled. I did the same thing and this resolved my issue.

I compared the As-Built data before and after and found the address needed to enable "Park Assist - Front" is:

706-12-01: 1xxx xxxx xxxx
0 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF Off
1 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF On

That value was 0 and just changed to 1. Hopefully that can get added to the front page so others don't get stumped, or they can just stumble across this post.

Thanks.

Yes it turns out that my trucks IPMA didn't support the front sensors and had to be replaced with one that was compatible with the front sensors. Once the new module was installed all is working as intended.

I believe I'm in the same situation as you were.

2021 Lariat PB, no cameras, added wiring harness and sensors. Getting a parking aid fault ?

How do I find out if my IPMA is setup for front sensing? And where do I get one that will work?

I also have a 2021 502A with Co-pilot 360 Assist 2.0, 360°, Dynamic Bending Headlights, LED Fogs and Rear Parking Sensors. I added the four sensors and the correct front bumper wiring harness a few weekends ago. Finally had time to program for them yesterday with no luck. I wish I had taken better pictures of the main bumper wiring connector to see what might be missing...

I'll update as I have more info.
