IThis Ford Europe video gives a highlevel overview of the difference we are discussing. It all relates to the high beam operation.
My Canadian registered truck has the adaptive headlights activated. My first real experience, which duplicates the Ford Europe video, was driving the Coquihalla Highway through the BC Rockies. Quite breathtaking, how these high beams do a gradual dipping manoeuvre, as a car approaches. The transition is seamless, then as the car passes they ease back up to their higher (and furthest reaching) position. So, this thread got me thinking; is this what the “other” upper lens is for? These are BY FAR the best headlights I’ve ever known, and I’ve driven many cars around the world! This Ford Europe video gives a highlevel overview of the difference we are discussing. Were you able to get a video of the headlight calibration on start up? I can probably do it tomorrow morning on the way in to work.A bit off topic, but I just had my Tremor 402A headlights replaced at the dealer body shop, as a shop damaged the OEM lenses, however the new lights don't "dance" around when powering on doing their self-calibration dance. Can someone film a quick clip and post it up to YouTube? Just need a quick vid or 2 to make the point, not more than just the 5-10 sec clip. The dealer body shop acted ignorant relative to me noting something was off and indicated there is no calibration dance.
Not sure what it could be causing this issue at this point.
Thanks for the offer. I ended up having to charge the battery and the calibration started working again. Were you able to get a video of the headlight calibration on start up? I can probably do it tomorrow morning on the way in to work.
i think they are WRONG as a gnat chewing on your ear.I'm so disappointed that according to Ford Authority, we have all been spoofed into thinking our trucks have glare free technology. ????
The future Mach-E is rumored to be the FIRST Ford available in America with the technology, maybe. Just maybe.

There is a way to reset the APIM in FORScan. It's easy. I can do it, but I can't write it down from memory. After cycling the ignition you can alternatively press and hold the radio power button and FF button until the system reboots (about 5 seconds). Neither way is better than or easier than the other.I'm going to do the glare free forscan changes, I've did several other changes with forscan but have a question before I start. The spreadsheet says to reset APIM in forscan after changes. Is this something different then just cycling the ignition like other changes? If different can someone give me a short explanation of APIM reset. Thanks
