Mine activate at 33mph

Below that I have to use the headlights the old fashioned American way.

Has anyone figured out how to keep the anti glare headlights operational below 19 MPH/30 KMPH?

They are awesome, but when I was at a wye intersection the other night, pitch black, no street lights, stopped at a stop sign going to turn right (almost like driving straight ahead) and the lights are down low so it is not easy to see ahead. Regular high beams would have been on in this circumstance, but the adaptive head lights don't.

I can understand shutting down in storm / snow to avoid looking like blasting through space, and in town, or in lit up spaces, but not turned down at slow speeds in the pitch black.
I don’t think there’s a way but you can still manually turn the brights on the same way you would if you didn’t have the glare free lighting

This why I haven't activated anti glare headlights in forScan yet, Just to clarify, I drive a lot at low speeds in the middle of no where at night. With anti glare activated in forScan and the light switch on automatic I can still use the high and low beam turn signal switch to over ride anti glare and or just put light switch in the on position and use the headlights the manual way?

Yes.
With Anti-glare enabled, the traditional low/high beam manual operation is still available on the stalk.

You get to have your cake and eat it too. It's Win/win

I thought I read somewhere (possibly 10-20 pages back in this thread) that some components to enable glare free are missing from newer models. Has this been confirmed or has anyone with a recent build been successful enabling glare free?

I am eagerly awaiting a 23 502a that just shipped out of the KC plant and this is one of the first changes I intend to make. I'm hoping all the hardware is there since most of the removals (such as the heated steering wheel) have been returned to my build!

I am not aware of any Ford F150's with OEM projector headlights being gimped from supporting Anti-glare.

It's been a concern from the beginning of the supply chain fiasco, but each new member with a new truck has ended up being able to confirm all is well.

Unless I missed something?

i installed projector high beams + harness + hcm harness. Brights work. I added all forscsan changes in the excel document for the glare-free. Glare free populated in my trucks menu and i enabled it. it replaced the auto-high beam option. I just went for a drive for 5 min and noticed absolutely nothing but my normal low beams so i am going to assume the glare free is not working. Any ideas? My truck is an XL supercrew.

Did you drive over 33 mph? Are you driving in dark areas? And by dark I mean almost black if not totally black?

Not over 33 mph. Is that required?
Yes, there’s several conditions that must be met for them to ramp up, speed being one of them. Clear weather being another, low/no ambient illumination is yet another

Great to know, thank you!! I will try again in about an hour in the pitch black and go over 33mph.

Sounds like it may be too light out as well. Short of being on the east coast, I’d say that’s highly likely

It is a slow fade into bright lights so watch for that.

I read an article today that stated that buried in the new infrastructure bill, adaptive head lights would be allowed in the US. I hope this is true.

www.cnet.com › roadshow › newsAdaptive headlights finally legal in US with Biden's ...

I wonder if when available if Ford will sent an update to activate them on our US trucks.
I’m confused. My Outback has led headlights that follow the steering wheel as I turn. I love them. Are they adaptive? They certainly are steering responsive.

Apative lights move with steering. Anti Glare respond to other vehicles and light sources.
