I have been having issues while towing a trailer where my headlights won’t auto-level, and are pointed too high. I have 5.5 bed, CCD/Onboard Scales.

I have followed the guide, and I did notice two values that needed changed from previous values I guess I programmed back in February/March when I got my 22.

I do have a question on 734-01-03 xxxx xxxx **xx:

The guide says to use 00 on this value. But in the HCM spreadsheet, that’s “no leveling”. Should that be 01?

Thanks in advance!

For glare free no changes are made to 734-01-03

You are correct - not sure what I was looking at that made me think that needed changes.

I have one other question - for 734-10-01 xxxx xxx*, do you know what the oil monitor time/distance setting is?

Thank you so much for your help!!!

Does anyone have odd issues where the system responds to all traffic signs at night and dims the headlights because they are reflecting so bright?

Yes, this happens a lot, especially in really dark conditions. Mostly I see it on white reflectors and signs. (speed limits, white road reflectors on either side of the road).

I think I saw this thread a long time ago and forgot about it. Just stumbled back into it and thought it may be something to attempt. So I made all the changes. The info on the display and on the instrument panel show up. So, OK, maybe. Will have to check it out at night if it ever stops raining.
Problem I do have is the warning message about something wrong with the lighting is there at startup.

Check the changes in the HCM module for accuracy. The fault at startup means something is not correct there. The glare free will not work correctly when you are getting that warning.

If you want to post a screen shot of your current HCM values and your truck specs I would be happy to take a look.

I checked the figures in post #8 and they are what I have written down. I will check the truck on Tuesday and get a copy of the HCM. The only "guess" was for 734-01-04 on what bed size. I have a SuperCab and I think they are a 6.4 foot box. So I used the large bed and no scales. That is xxD9 88. Maybe that is what is wrong. When it comes to truck specs, exactly what do you need?
I got back some minutes ago from testing and it looks like they are working. Had 5 cars coming at me in the country where very dark and no one flashed me and the bright lights were sure on.
We will see on Tuesday.

I think a supercab with a ~6 bed is probably going to be “short bed” for the purposes of the HCM. You still get limited function with the error. They dim for traffic, but the beam steering in turns is inoperative.

Truck spec I was many looking for what you added in your reply: Trim, cab, bed length, etc.

If you can give me all the values in 734-01-01 I can tell you for sure which code you need in 734-01-04.

Is there a way too see if you have compatible Glare Free lights or not before changing the settings in Forescan?

I know that the later 2022’s may have glare free compatible lights, or then again they may not have glare free hardware in them.

Is there a way to test test, or physically look at to see if you have the hardware or not?

Have we yet had anyone post that they have confirmed they do NOT have Glare Free capable lights?

Thats what I was thinking. We haven’t seen anyone with projector LED’s confirm their lights aren’t compatible yet.

My 22 was built in late March/April and it was good to go.

I still think that projector LED’s = compatible.

… for now.

For what it is worth the Lightning LED headlights are capable of the Glare Free update. Mine are working. I asked if the Lightning had a job 2 and was informed they were technically all Job 2 since they were F150's and built after Job 2 started for ICE.

Change 01-04 to the ”short bed” code below and you will be good to go. It’s actually the wheel base that makes the difference, but bed length was an easier way to describe the difference to the masses. The supercab is a bit of a wild card since the cab is slightly shorter and the bed longer than a Screw, but same wheel base.

Short bed No onboard scales / ccd
