Is there a way too see if you have compatible Glare Free lights or not before changing the settings in Forescan?

I know that the later 2022’s may have glare free compatible lights, or then again they may not have glare free hardware in them.

Is there a way to test test, or physically look at to see if you have the hardware or not?
To answer your question no, not without trying the changes. We do not know what Ford may or may not remove at some point hardware wise and therefor it’s impossible to say what to look for. As others have mentioned, no one so far has had an issue with enabling glare free on Job 2 trucks with projector led headlamps.

All the speculation on missing hardware is based on Ford removing glare free from the Canadian Job 2 order guide, but we have yet to see anything on the street indicating anything is missing. It could happen at anytime or never.

Thanks for the info - I'm in Canada and I do not have Glare Free Lights, I should be getting a PC laptop within a few weeks, so I'll try turning it on and see if it is working for me as well once I have the ability.

Change 01-04 to the ”short bed” code below and you will be good to go. It’s actually the wheel base that makes the difference, but bed length was an easier way to describe the difference to the masses. The supercab is a bit of a wild card since the cab is slightly shorter and the bed longer than a Screw, but same wheel base.

Short bed No onboard scales / ccd

That did the trick. No error message. Still raining for the fourth day and night. So I did not want to go out and check on things. Thursday night is going to be OK for a test.
Thanks a BIG bunch for getting my old brain in the right track.

I know how you feel. I thought I was careful and deliberate. Double checked and triple checked. I had it right. I was sure.

ROBB1 took one glance and showed me my error. Lol

It stopped raining so I took the truck out to check out the lights. Everything appears to work OK. Had 9 vehicles approach and no one flashed me. So, guess they work, sort of. The one thing that can not be noticed is the lights moving on curves.

Do you notice the lights “dancing” when you first start the truck? They should do a calibration check where the move around right after start. Also make sure you have your head lamp switch in the auto position.

I have to drive through the woods slowly to get to my place. There's no mistaking the "bending" of the headlights. Crazy cool.

The HCM runs the exact same software as the rest. Potential issue would be IPMA. It is running a different software. I am curious why the Canadian builds dont have the glare free anymore.

I cant say for certain but if you dont it could be the IPMA is the limitation. It handles all the lighting control anyways.

Ill look forward to hearing the results.

Did anyone else notice a change in how glare free operates? Back when I first turned it on, street lights, and any other moderate ambient lighting kept it from working. Driving home tonight, street lights didn't seem to have as much of an affect on it as before. It also doesn't seem to be as sensitive to ambient light based on the past couple mornings either. This is for my Job 1 '21.

Just did this today, works great. I did have an issue with the HCM not keeping the changes I would make, Had to do it a couple times to get it to stick.

Switch in auto, truck in dark garage, and NO moving of the lights at startup or within a minute after. Nothing.

Hmmmm

Wonder what would be nixing the auto-leveling routine that the headlights are programmed to go through?

Even after the Forscan edits for Glare Free, the auto-leveling routine is unchanged on my USA Job2 2022

Don't know if it makes any difference but my truck is a 2021 ordered in March of '21 and received on July 15th.
