Yeah whenever I had that issue it was when trying to make multiple changes all in one "write". Always worked when I slow down and do one line at a time.
Ya. Mine even seemed picky in the order that I did them.

Would someone mind confirming which headlight is required to be in the truck to turn on the Glare Free. I'm just a little ahead of the game I know, but the Lightning is getting the LED Projectors with Dynamic Bending. Is this light capable?

On the topic - the new order guide has noted that "Glare-Free" lighting is no longer available for any Job 2 truck starting 4/11. Will the SW be there to support it if you turn it on vis Forscan or are they crippling the light to not be capable?

To your first question: led projector headlights are required for this to work.

On your second question: no one knows at this point, but I think we all believe there is going to be hardware missing.

The first thing I would try is click NO when you first connect to the truck and forscan asks if you want the use a previous profile. That will fix a lot of write issues from experience.

The other possibility is that since you’re in a ‘22, your module software level is not yet in the forscan data base. You can email them a log and they can generate test version to correct that. I’m not sure what their response time is currently though given world events.
Still not having any luck getting that IPMA to load. Just wanted to make sure, do I need to make changes for this line
“Short bed No onboard scales / ccd
734-01-04 xx53 4E”
Mine is a short bed. No scales or ccd
I haven’t contacted forscan yet. Was just hoping to get it figured out on my own. Guess that is next.

You will need to write that into the HCM module to avoid the “Check head light“ error. OEM you will have a slightly different code it that position. If you write the other changes in the HCM and skip that line you will get an error.

Copy. No check engine lights or warnings and “glare free” is on the menu and selected. That is without the IPMA change. Is the IPMA change still needed for proper operation of the glare free?

Short answer is yes. You will need the IPMA change for it to operate correctly.

The longer answer is with all of of the other changes, but the IPMA still set to auto high beams, I’m not sure how it will behave. Best guess is still like auto high beams where the lights fully cut out. The glare free needs position data from the camera to do proper glare free, so you might get some weird behavior.

If you do a DTC scan you might have a configuration “fault”.

I think the most likely cause of your IPMA issue is the module version not being loaded into forscan database yet. The only fix for that is emailing them a log or waiting for a future release.

However, one last ditch thing to try if not done already is optimizing the adapter speed.

I didn’t have the IPMA changes made initially and you get half of Glare Free. It won’t cut out a path in the lights ahead of you for traffic and instead will cut out one side or the other depending on where the vehicle(s) ahead of you are.

Shoutout to: @tonesto7 and @Livnitup for paving the way.

Xmerlyn: I was able to set these two in APIM.
Glare Free Menu (replaces Auto High beam) in APIM:
7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx
7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx
Note: a module reset in FORScan or power cycle is required for the menu to appear.

Xmerlyn: I cannot get IPMA to load. it gets to 27% and there is an error at the top "Service Procedure has been interrupted". Any ideas?

I'm sorry this is off topic but reading how good some of you guys are at FORSCAN I want to ask for help.

This is for 2022 F150 Raptor 801A package memory seats and mirrors.

I am looking to get my passenger mirror to dip down in reverse. I have looked all over and tried the learning trick in reverse but can't get anything to stick. Memory button 3 I can use but that is just like adjusting it yourself every time. This should just be an option. Every vehicle I had this.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Don't you just leave the mirror select switch in the passenger position to activate the mirror dipping down function? My two previous cars worked this way. I haven't personally tried it on my F150, so I can't say with certainty that it's true. Worth a try though.;)

Nope, I tried it this morning and, No Dice. It did not enable pointing the passenger mirror down.

EDIT:
Just received a test version of Forscan and I can now successfully write to the IPMA (as well as an HVAC change that I was testing). Now it just needs to get dark out to test it!

I'm having the same issue that you did. Have all settings working except I'm getting the "service procedure interrupted" when trying to change the 5 to a 9 on the IPMA.

My truck ('22 Raptor) was just built a month ago (on 4-6-22). So guessing that's my issue. Just sent my logs to Forscan. I'm using a brand new OBDLink EX, current Forscan software, and have my min response time down to 2ms.

But yes, without the IPMA change, it "sort of" works. I'd say it more acts like its "winking" one high beam or the other. It's trying, but really hope I can get it to work right. If the rumor about Job #2's not having the ability to do this, I'm hoping mine snuck in a week before lol

Thanks for all your work on this! Truly amazing that you can figure this all out.

I just got my ‘22 502A. Did a few of the vetted Forscan mods successfully. I have an older Vint USB Elm adapter so I was a bit nervous going in to this mod.

I got glare free to show up on the APIM menu, but then I got the service interrupted when doing the IPMA change. I immediately chickened out and put everything back LOL.

I am using Beta Version 2.4.6.

I did not save any profiles, but I didn’t exit all the way out, let Forscan scan everything and try again.

Should I just get a OBDLink adapter coming and quit gambling?

Thanks guys.
