@ROBB1 Forgive me if this was addressed before: for the code
Short bed No onboard scales / ccd 734-01-04 xx53 4E. Should the 4E be the only two characters in that group or should the last characters remain. For example my states "4EE1", should I remove the "E1" from that group or keep as is? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Thank you for all your assistance on this feature.
The last two characters are check codes. Forescan will automatically update those during the write process. Just leave them as is when making your changes and forscan will take care of the rest.

Getting the startup error, but everything else is working. I have ‘21 short bed/no scales and double-checked the HCM 734-01-04 value, but it looks right to me. Any ideas?

You need to update these two lines as well:
HCM734-01-01xxxxxx01xx--
HCM734-01-0203xxxxxxxx--

Then you should be good to go in the HCM.

Thanks @ROBB1! I assumed that was in the case, but wanted to make sure since thy Eline didn't contain the "4Exx" appearance I am accustomed to in the ForScan spreadsheet. I made the change a month ago with no known issues. It worked great on my trip back home last night through a dark canyon which is crowded with deer. It's a beautiful sight to see when it blocks out the oncoming traffic allowing me to still clearly see deer on side of the road. Thanks again for your work on this feature and sharing it with us.

Sorry for the delayed response.

It is not uncommon to induce a few DTCs after making forscan changes. Normally you can simply "clear all DTCs" and they will not return. In this particular case you may have to drive for a little while and see if it recalibrates. I have not experienced this particular DTC personally, but I seem to remember another member mentioning that this DTC or similar DTC and it clears after the system has been driven. Nothing related to the glare free should effect digital park assist (I also have park assist).
Thanks. So the DTC isn't clearing and I am getting an alert upon shifting to reverse with audible alarm saying Reverse brake assist not available see owners manual. I don't use reverse brake assist, so I turned it off in the settings. Now I get a silent alert (on the center dash between tach and speedo) saying Reverse brake assist not available, but no audible alarm, so it is just an annoyance. Leaving it as is for now.

My understanding was this was triggered by removing one of the cameras or replacing one of the cameras. My truck currently has that because I swapped to the tow mirrors and others have gotten it from removing the tailgate. The only way I know to clear that would be to recalibrate it with fdrs or having the dealer do it for you. I just turned off the brake assist option in the ipma till I get around to calibrating mine. It’s one of the same spots that has to be changed for glare free in the ipma and listed on the common sheet.

Perfect, I will do the same.

First big change with forscan. I can’t get IPMA to except the write and get “service interrupted”. All the other modules have excepted the changes. The menu even shows the “glare free” option. I also get warning “Normal Cruise Active Adaptive Braking Off”. Any ideas?

@Soc4me what OBDII adapter are you using? I had a similar issue with my bluetooth ELM327 adapter on the IPMA, but it worked fine with every other module. OBDLink EX & J2534 adapters haven't had an issue with it though.

The first thing I would try is click NO when you first connect to the truck and forscan asks if you want the use a previous profile. That will fix a lot of write issues from experience.

The other possibility is that since you’re in a ‘22, your module software level is not yet in the forscan data base. You can email them a log and they can generate test version to correct that. I’m not sure what their response time is currently though given world events.

Thanks. I’ll give it a shot

I had a similar issue writing to that module. I kept clicking play, it would say service interrupted, but it would proceed further. After about 10 attempts, I got to 10%, 27%, 35%, etc until it loaded. I was able to write the changes and execute with no issue. I would try a couple of times and see if you progress past 8% shown in the screenshot.

Yeah whenever I had that issue it was when trying to make multiple changes all in one "write". Always worked when I slow down and do one line at a time.
