Well and update on using this mod on a Raptor and my rain sensing failure. I flashed everything back to the as built backups I made. Glare free is now gone. Yes, the rain sensing did get turned off but turning it back on did not enable them. I waited a few days for good dry weather and they just do the delay thing and continue to wipe when all is dry and sunny. I took it to my dealer and the service manager sat in the truck and double checked all settings and set me up for an investigation in the shop next week so leaving everything stock till they figure out why they stopped. At this point I feel the failure had nothing to do with the glare free mod but instead is just a new truck glitch. I will let ya'll know as soon as I find out.

So if they're changing parts installed on new vehicles, how will that impact vehicles that need repaired in the future? This sounds like a giant headache coming for people in accidents or with faulty parts, as well as everyone involved in the process.

Looks like some of us with a US ‘21 build who have done the mod will be in a small exclusive club with glare free. I’d be a little upset as they continue to remove features and up prices but I guess that’s everywhere these days. But as it applies to glare free that’s just a bummer for others because I love them.

My business partner and I ordered our trucks together and our VINs are pretty close. I’ve already done this mod and love it, but we have yet to do it on his. I assume those with a 21 model can still do this mod?

Correct. No indication that ‘21s won’t be able to add the mod. But starting with job 2 ‘22s US builds won’t be able to is my understanding.

Mid year production changes have been the norm for years. I worked in the vehicle parts field for over 20 years, and it’s really not the headache you think it would be.

When ordering parts for vehicles in these cases, you are asked to provide a date of manufacture or the VIN to get the correct part.

I realize that part changes happen frequently, but they aren't making the more complicated headlights now due to sub-assembly part availability. I feel like part changes are relatively minor typically, not to the point of removing what could be considered a major safety feature.

I guess us Job 2 folks are going to get screwed. Makes you wonder what else will be missing when the trucks actually arrive. I also assume there will be no downward price adjustment to reflect the feature delete.

Those of us who got moved from '21 to '22 got screwed a little also, since some items that were standard in the XLT '21 truck were removed in the XLT '22 truck.

@ROBB1 I am stuck here. Did the changes for glare free and it is throwing a lot of DTCs. I initially didn't have any steering wheel buttons working, but I restored SCCM and now those are working. Most of the other DTCs are SCCM related though. What does the SCCM edit for this functionality actually do? FYI I have a 2021 Raptor.

Reset the DTCs and none of them came back except the IPMA one. Thoughts on camera alignment? I restored IPMA and this DTC came back.

Short bed No onboard scales / ccd 734-01-04 xx53 4E. Should the 4E be the only two characters in that group or should the last characters remain. For example my states "4EE1", should I remove the "E1" from that group or keep as is? Thanks in advance.

Getting the startup error, but everything else is working. I have ‘21 short bed/no scales and double-checked the HCM 734-01-04 value, but it looks right to me. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delayed response.

It is not uncommon to induce a few DTCs after making forscan changes. Normally you can simply "clear all DTCs" and they will not return. In this particular case you may have to drive for a little while and see if it recalibrates. I have not experienced this particular DTC personally, but I seem to remember another member mentioning that this DTC or similar DTC and it clears after the system has been driven. Nothing related to the glare free should effect digital park assist (I also have park assist).
