It's a an endless debate. But it's kinda humbling to know that none of us chest beating truck studs would see anything but the rear license plate of a lowly kitchen appliance Tesla Model 3, driven by a skinny fella wearing Italian loafers.

I re did my math and figured out why I didn’t come out with the 90% you did

I didn’t include the random kids messing around with their v6 mustangs and Honda preludes on the highway at 3pm. That’s my bad, most of us don’t consider that street racing, just driving like an asshat.
Oh so you fall under the #1 aka race snob.

This board is full of complaints due to incompetent techs, it's not a new thing, but it sure as hell is far more common than it should be. Lots of money coming in at dealers and it goes to the wrong places.
I am familiar with technician issues at dealerships. A lot of the ones that are worth a damn have left for obvious reasons.

I mean to be fair I think the 5.0 must be doing better than 19MPG on the highway. I see um' on the freeway going 40MPH waiting for a 3.5PB to come by and race um'. That's gotta save gas. lol

True, but on a cold winter day after he disappeared in the distance we would soon see him on the side of the road humbly holding his charging cord begging me to pull over and give him some Powerboost electrons.

Yes!
I incorrectly posted the combined mileage. All that waiting adds up to a very respectable 22mpg hwy.

I see a lot of back and forth on which power plant faster on YT etc… and I am sure this topic has been beat to death on here as well.
Well I am here to beat it down some more.
So If you have a stock 4WD crew cab truck with another power plant here is your chance.

My PowerBoost was neck and neck with my buddies 5.0, all things equal (trim, rear end, etc) from a roll.

If the 102 limiter wasn't there, he'd walk away from me.

I have to agree with the title of this thread (5.0 > 3.5/2.7), but it is just basic math: 3.5/2.7 = 1.3 (1.296), which is certainly smaller than 5.0. At the same time, 3.5 is greater than 5.0/2.7 (1.9). From my perspective, these points are equally as consequential to my use of my truck as comparing 5.0 acceleration to 3.5 acceleration.

Can you get a Gen14 f150 with a 3.5 in a RCSB? My take on F150s if you lined them all up from a dig. All need to be 4x4, and if you did it back to back the RCSB5.0 would take the win the second time.

1 Supercab 3.5
2 Supercrew powerboost
3 RCSB 5.0
4 Supercab 5.0
5 Supercrew 3.5

We all have our favorite flavors of ice cream and none of them are "wrong". I personally have never understood a truck trying to be a race car. And its not for me to understand it...
The prob is nowadays everyone with $1500 can "tune' their jalopy to go fast. Gone are the days or porting heads to match intake and exhaust manifolds and getting flow numbers to build the correct, custom cam. etc. etc
I beg to differ with the OPs 90% rolling race numbers. (love these made up Internet numbers all the time). Usually the ones rolling race are those that dont have adequate rubber\traction to get off the line and maintain as evidenced by my previous post and every 3rd Mustang video being launched into a ditch... or the guys that NOS their rolling launch at 40mph. Cant NOS, well without skill, cant NOS a standing race without going squirly.

Ill stick with my baby which is an actual race car built from the ground up. Here is a vid from probably 15-20yrs ago...

I don't understand why this is always a pissing match. None of these trucks are fast. Drive what you like and stfu about it.
I mean, its my fault i read though all this. its my fault i fell to NOT make any comments but my god these are the dumbest pecker measuring contest ever...

LOL Chad vibes from this comment. like the pot calling the kettle black.

my only two cents...i have a 3.5EB and have had a 5.0 rental. Mine is a LB CC and the rental was a SB CC both have/had 4x4

Someone mentioned it here but you have to rev the piss out of the 5.0 to make it feel "alive"
does it sound good? sure does. does it get up at go above 4-5K RPMS? sure it does.

is it faster than a 3.5 when you make up very specific parameters and then start adding whipples?! i'm sure it is.

This thread should be about stock for stock, off the line and from a roll. Also, are the trucks the same configuration like gearing?

where are the facts? Where are the numbers?

Once we throw our dicks on the table with whipples and tunes, then its all subjective.

anyone who wants to spend money can make something fast
