Beauty of a lease in this scenario. Be interesting to see what they do for you when you hand the keys back at the end of the lease! I’d be shopping around hard if I was you.
Yes, the lease is probably a blessing in disguise given how everything has turned out. I can’t imagine the Carfax is going to look too great after all this.

I actually asked the Ford CEO's representative what will happen when the lease is up and I have to deal with this dealership again, considering there just might be some bad blood by then. Their response was that they don’t typically handle those situations, so they were unsure.

Sept 28: Got back into town, returned the loaner, and picked up the truck. Since it was Saturday, the service department was closed, but they had arranged for reception to handle the keys and paperwork.

My copy of the work order is 7 pages long, and I might post it later. Their version had a surprising amount of heft to it. Took the truck for a drive, and it felt good—no rattles, and it drove as I’d expect.

I took it out on the highway, but noticed that lane centering and BlueCruise aren’t working.

I also popped the hood to check everything and saw that the non-TSB radiator shroud is installed. I really don’t want to go through this whole process again, especially since I’m working and staying in a remote area. A breakdown there would be incredibly inconvenient, beyond anything I can put into words.

Before I head back out of town on Monday, I’ll talk with the dealer about the lane centering and see if I can just modify the shroud for now while they order the correct one.

Ooof -- cut it to avoid it again. They have to replace it so buy some airflow now.

Cut the damn thing…….cut it NOW
Hard to believe with all this crap about the turbos, they didn’t replace the deflector with the new one. Your dealer is overwhelmed with incompetence
