At least we didn’t get a downgrade this bad. The Super Duty is ruined. 20-23 was so sexy then they went FUGLY. Literally what the f*ck is the slab of plastic side badge for? Looks like total dog shit. I have never felt such strong distain for a design a year in, it triggers the annoyance/ugly response in my brain to where I tune them out as our brains do with “unattractive or unsightly” things. Horrendously terrible design.

Agree on the large side vents.

And the weird way they extended the grille over the headlights. Why?

Too bad, because the changes to the interior and the bed / bumper steps are wins for me over the 17-22 trucks.

If I was HD truck shopping I'd probably look at a GMC.

The "Back Bumper" topic earlier... on the way home today, I was behind a black 24 and black 23 XLTs. I definitely prefer the 2024.. looks more expensive/classy to me (which I prefer). The 2023 looked more "edgy" or "futuristic" maybe? Still looks good, but before I realized they were different years, I was thinking "why does that one look nicer than the other". The tail-lights made me realize.

The 2024 grills suck there cheap looking. I like the 23 XLT chrome grill it looks good but on the 24 the XLT grill is all black and the chrome on it looks like a cheap after thought.

12th gen is still my favorite. I wish they would make an aluminum version of these, can’t own one in NY because of the cab corner and rocker panel rust. If I was down south I’d probably have bought a clean used one of these and just modded the engine a bit.

Still blows my mind that it's May 2024 and Ford is still selling new 23's.
Are they worth looking at a leftover 23? Been thinking about it, although I find an XLT with sunroof I like and the dealer says "oh that has rock ridge" or whatever lifted on it and it's $90k no thanks haha!

I picked up a 23 at end of February 2024 for 24% off msrp after incentives and A plan.

Not much changed for 24 unless you want the new tailgate, and new grill, headlights and taillights, otherwise still a Gen 14.

I got my 23 STX SC for 9k off sticker plus Ford sent me a 4k cash offer (I've bought a lot of Fords). Also, 1.9% for 72 if you qualify, so that's basically free money. There were no add-ons except for the service fee. Can't beat that deal. Dealers in ATL are all putting their 23's in service as loaners for a few hundred miles so they qualify for the big discounts from Ford. There are deals out there...

Never underestimate Ford's ability to ruin a vehicle from one gen to the next.

LOL.. As a former 1991 SHO Plus owner, I agree.. but let's give some respect and use the same trim (both SHO) to compare. Also.. that little 3.4L DOHC 32-valve V8 was a cool little engine, still worked on by Yamaha. It was just so restricted on the intake and exhaust sides those days, and only a 4-speed automatic available. ?

I love the style of the 23 STX I am biased because it is what I drive but I do not love the way the posted 24's have looked so far.
