I mentioned it elsewhere, but Ford should make the XL the Gen14 while the other trims get the Gen15. This pic doesn't look good. It actually physically looks cheap.
What an absolutely ridiculous suggestion... yeah, let's keep the production line open for ONE trim level, which we sell the least amount of. Sure, makes perfect sense...I mentioned it elsewhere, but Ford should make the XL the Gen14 while the other trims get the Gen15. This pic doesn't look good. It actually physically looks cheap.
You literally have to keep the line open anyway for spares. It makes perfect sense building a relatively small number of complete trucks too. What an absolutely ridiculous suggestion... yeah, let's keep the production line open for ONE trim level, which we sell the least amount of. If you don't like it, don't buy it. 99.9% of XL buyers don't buy them for their looks, they buy them to get to the job and back. Ford wont be losing any money because a few people on an internet message board don't like the looks...
You have no idea what you are talking about. They can stamp parts without having the production lines open... how do you think assembling vehicles works?Y

Hoods are on indefinite backorder and we're at the end of Gen 14 production. The lines have no option but to stay open.
It doesn’t just look cheap; it looks like the Chinese Wish knock-off of an F-150:..This pic doesn't look good. It actually physically looks cheap.
This is a refresh. The 2024 trucks are still Gen 14. Same way that a 2020 and a 2015 were both Gen 13, but had different front ends.Y

I own an EV, so can speak to some of this. Of course you use more battery going UP the hill than you could potentially recharge going down hill... that's how it works. It's not 1:1, it's nowhere near 1:1. I would be surprised if regenerative breaking is even .25:1.
The expectation that regenerative braking is this panacea of efficiency is just fake news.
That said, I would love to see Ford do a plug-in hybrid F150 to allow limited (30-40 miles) pure battery operation.
Generally regenerative braking is about 80% efficient, and turning battery juice in to forward momentum is about 80% efficient.I just finished a quick two day trip to Long Beach, Mississippi from Orlando. This was a mission to pick up our new dog and bring him home. No sightseeing and no messing around just business. Interstate or Turnpike the whole way and back. The only time I spent below 80mph was for fog, traffic, or work zones. Here's the result:

I like that the Platinum now has a Tremor hood, but I do not like that the Tremor hood was removed from the Lariat BAP.
I believe this is rattler not STX, I could be wrong but that looks rattlerish to me
Doesn't look bad, and it looks like they're using the illuminated emblems on the front now!?
