My 22 F150 XLT has a build date of 10/2022. About a mile into my drive while in 2wd mode, a vibration noise came about while traveling 35/40 mph. It sounded almost as if you drove over rumble strips on the side of the road. As I let off the throttle and pulled over the noise went away. I proceeded to drive another mile at 35/40 mph and the same noise started once more so I reduced speed and pulled over where the noise stopped. This happened a total of 4 times on my 5 mile drive home. This was the first time hearing this noise and also the first time the vehicle has been parked outside in sub 30 degree temps since I bought it new in April of 2023.
I brought the truck to my local Ford dealership and explained the issue. I’ve explained that I’ve seen other owners on forums experiencing the same exact issue. My findings show the cause to be the IWEs or the check valve causing a lack of pressure. The shop foreman inspected and they were not able to duplicate the issue. However they advised I’m now the 3rd 2022 F150 owner to come in with this issue and that they are working with a Ford engineer for a solution. As of today, I was told I would be added to a list of data and once more data is obtained from others (unknown amount of time) I would receive a mailer that a fix has been secured. My issue is that it’s now the start of winter and I need to be confident in my 4x4. It’s frustrating that Ford knows what the issue is but will not jump on fixing it until others have reported issues.
If anyone has any documented solutions to what appears to be the beginning of a known issue it would be greatly appreciated.
