Anyone know what “improvements” were made to trailer and license plate lights??? They’re lights. Do they just make them brighter/dimmer then claim a glorious improvement?????
I wasn't able to find anything about it on the NHTSA website or any of the other resources I've used to get more details on these things.

I think the original update for this (without the 2) was for the NHTSA notice about false alarms with trailer connected. Just totally guessing because that is only thing I can find related to trailer lights.

See, that would be nice to know, for everybody who’s been unplugging each time they park to prevent the alarm that they no longer need to…

2 things:
1. After getting an update (and I know there are more after it) I start the truck, view the update. Turn off the truck. Get out. Get back in (cycle the door/power) check for updates. Then about 15 minutes later I’ll go for a drive for about 10 minutes and usually, I’ll get an update ready to install notice.
2. There’s a new annoying dash jingle when I leave the truck running with the key in my pocket. I’ve had the double honk removed forever. Maybe for removed it also and replaced it with this awful noise (first 2 notes of door open repeated rapidly 4 times).

Like I said just speculation if you Google NHTSA and F-150 trailer lights that comes up. That was back in 2022 though. If this fixed a bug like false alarm they should say that in notes.

1) Downloading no. Installing? Supposedly. I've never tested it out myself or know of anyone that has, but just keep it closed as per usual and it's a moot point. I can tell you the parking brake and having the headlights off means nothing as far as OTA installs go.
2) OTA triggers are created by the server aka mothership. This will happen even if your battery is disconnected. A bad battery will not prevent an OTA from being sent to the truck or downloading. It only affects the ability for the update to install.
3) Non-issue. Since there is nothing new to report, it is showing old news.
This is about what I was thinking...just wanted to make sure...thanks Javier

Also, not to brag (too much) but I’m 100% up to date for the first time evers!

Same for me, but it was thanks to @Jesse-Infotainment and his great knowledge and capabilities. I was in some state that was keeping 3 of my modules from updating. He got me all squared away.

Hopefully the Ford OTA process can keep it up to date without fouling thing up again.

So.. I dunno when they added this, but I'm fairly sure I'd never heard it before... When I got the truck I turned off double honk. Now, updates later, the dashboard yells at me if I get out with the key in my pocket with the engine running. It's basically the first 2 notes of the door open chime repeated rapidly 4 times.... That's nearly as annoying as the double honk but isn't as loud... Is this new?

had my 20k service yesterday at Ford. Complained about how i constantly get system off to save battery messages or whatever that is through FordPass and how ive had an OTA trying to install for over a week to no avail. They tested my battery and installed a new one. got home, OTA 6.8 installed...how we wait to see whats next
