double post...stupid question, what size batteries are "stock"? H6? H7? could have sworn i had a H7 but the new battery ford installed is a H6
My 2022 Powerboost was equipped with an H7 off the line. I just replaced with an it with an Interstate H7 since my OEM was struggling this winter.

Yes, that sound is new to our trucks as of OTA 6.8.0, Everyone has it. Until someone gets annoyed enough with it and figures it out in Forscan if that's even possible there's no answer as to how to turn it off or disable it.
Yep that freak out sound when they key is out of the truck came with the IPMA update. Lovely little addition and pisses my off something fierce when I take the key with me.

I agree, and once I'm out with the door shut, it becomes my wife's problem! ??

Alright. Since there is a lull in OTAs: How do I hookup my NOCO 10 (in supply mode) to my truck for Forscan shenanigans? Do I just hook up to the battery? Thanks in advance!

Red clamp to positive battery post -black clamp to a ground point NEAR the battery -NOT on the negative battery post. Usually the bare bolt infront of the battery that has a wire on it.

So, the same way I hook up to charge the battery then… Thank you.

Yes... the truck needs to know current draw on the battery, either power going out or coming in by the little black block on the negative post.

So, by doing this, I’m supplying a steady voltage but also charging the battery…

Maybe... I've seen very close to 20A of draw when running updates. Most I've seen when doing forscan stuff with lights and blower off was around 5A if I remember right.

As long as it doesn't exceed 20Amps, our popular Clore PowerSupply/Charger will suffice.

I did about 6-7 hours of accessory mode updates the other night, and the Clore was in PowerSupply mode. FDRS reported 13.3-13.4V continuously.

Sort of, to the extent there’s anything left over to charge the battery during programming, as @Micho523 suggested. Programming generally takes all the amps the Clore can output, and then some. In power supply mode, the Clore is designed to maintain 14.1 volts. I never see voltage that high during programming. In any event, steady voltage is not a good way to charge a battery. For safe charging you want steady amps and floating voltage—exactly the opposite of what you get in power supply mode.
