Hey guys, couple questions regarding some forscan changes I'm thinking about making. I have 2021 Plat fully updated in FDRS.

1) I've been seeing threads over the last few months saying glare free is broken. Is this the case or has a newer update fixed this bug? Is this a true glare free/matrix headlight type ordeal? Can only certain model trucks utilize this? I have the OEM projectors. Is this truly useful or more of a gimmick?

2) Trailer side view - Again, seems like i've seen that this was bugged as well. Will this actually enable the side camera whenever I hit my turn signal without a trailer hooked up?

Thanks!
I'm not sure what specifically you saw about glare-free being broken. It works great on my 21 Plat. I find it a ton better than auto highbeams. Glare-free fades in and out, and occludes things in the projection smoothly. The auto highbeams would just flip on and off jarringly. Glare-free keeps portions of the highbeams on for longer compared to auto highbeams too.

I believe glare-free on the 24s and newer is not possible. Not technically broken, just not part of the hardware in the headlight assemblies. The best I understand from reading up on this is that Ford had LED projector assemblies that they consolidated for their NA trucks, because glare-free was already in-use in Canada and was expected to be adopted in the US as the same capabilities as the rest of the world. The US instead wrote regulations that call for way faster switching times for the occlusion zones that no current hardware supports, so Ford cost-cut by dropping the capabilities in the hardware that were no longer going to meet US regs.

Can anyone figure out how to activate the amber mirror lights as running lights/DRLs? I’d like them to be on like the Raptors.
Jason, I'm assuming you have a '21-'23 as you don't list it anywhere. This is the only thing I think might work. You can try setting this to 1 in the BCM:
726-40-01xxxxxxx*xx--Park_Lamps_Body_Ckt_Usage_Cfg (PLBCUC)
Reboot the BCM afterwards.

Switching from platinum led tail lights to raptor. Wanted to confirm in the bcm I need to change 726-43-01 last numbers to 04xx and on 726-43-02 to 0401 01xx xxxx.
I can't confirm that Nate, but it's easy to back out of if it doesn't work. Reboot the BCM before testing to make sure its either yes or no.

Ahhh. That makes sense. I was wondering why, if the hardware had the capabilities, this wasn't something that was activated at the factory. Wanted to make sure I wasn't going to activate some sort of gimmicky thing that really didn't have the hardware to work properly.

On the forscan spreadsheet, it gives different values depending on whether you have "onboard scales/ccd" or not. I'm not even sure what this is. How can you tell whether this applies to your truck or not?

Also, do you have any experience with the trailer side view forscan mod?

If memory serves, Continuously Controlled Damping and onboard scales were added in MY20222. So, unless you added it, your 2021 doesn’t have it. Otherwise, it’s on the window sticker or in your APIM under Features -> Onboard Scales.

I don’t have experience or knowledge on the trailer side views. I’ll be curious what you find out!

these changes work for for anyone going from led taillights with amber turn signals to raptor tails with red turn signals

So I made the forscan changes for bambi mode, no double honk on exit, and glare free lights. No double honk and glare free appear to be working correctly, however, my fog lights still aren't coming on with the brights? While the truck was parked I switched the headlights from auto to manual and then stepped outside to look and fogs still weren't on. Any ideas? Or am I mistaking what bambi mode actually does in practice?

Bambi keeps the fogs on when you switch to high beam, you still have to initially switch them on.

Ah shit okay lol. I thought that it automatically turned the fogs on when the brights were on. Welp at least I know I didn’t mess something up. Thanks.

If you have the paid version send your Logs off to Forscan and they can get it added and a test build sent back to you.

Read my FORScan tutorial here
I own a new 2024 Lightning XLT and I'm trying to use your most recent spreadsheet, specifically the IPMA (2024 -AB)-706 TAB to decode my own As Built Data to see if it bridges to the As Built data supplied by a poster who added front proximity sensors to his truck. When I decode my As Built, it seems kind of odd. My Connected Navigation recognizes speed limit signs, I have 360 camera view, and it will get upset if I'm not braking fast enough with a car in front. I created a spreadsheet for 706-01-01 and put my as built data alongside what the IPMA 2024 google spreadsheet said it meant. Would you mind taking a quick look at my decoding efforts and see if this seems correct. I'm guessing the 2024 Lightning might be different from the F-150, but I'd sure hope not. If you are dealing with the fires, please forget I even asked and we wish you the best of luck!

I just generated a 24 Lightning-specific IPMA sheet here so have a look at that
