My '22 Powerboost has been shifting harder and harder and was making a GIANT clunk noise going from Park to Reverse when cold and coming out of garage. I took it in to my selling dealer expecting them to reprogram it again as they've done that 3-4 times already. Service writer called back a few hours later to report that the technician (why aren't they called mechanics anymore?) found metal in the fluid and that the trans was toast. Ford has approved an "overhaul." So, for those who have already been there, what was your experience? Will FoMoCo ship a remfg. unit or a basket of parts to the dealer? How long did it take? Anything you wish you'd known beforehand? Advice is welcome.
Oh, one other thing, my truck's ESP will cover this, per the service writer.
