Heck my XL SuperCab MSRP was $50,490. The American makes are a little more “raw” if you will. My friend I boat with buys Toyotas, Toyota gives you a free year of oil changes and maintenance with your purchase and offers loaners for everything. Hopefully they improve.

I don’t get the no loaner thing with Ford. My wife always gets a loaner at Lexus. Even if it’s just an oil change. She had a cam shaft issue on her RX and she got another new RX for three weeks. There is never a fee. I love my truck, but Ford is pretty bad about customer service. Lexus really knows how to do it. And yes, my truck was way more money then the Lexus.
I agree. We owned Volvos for years, still do. Whenever either car went in for service, even an oil change, we could request a loaner. I don't know if my Ford dealership has loaners as I haven't needed one yet, but there is an Enterprise on site.

My bad.
When I stop at a traffic stop in "the city" (I live rural) I marvel at all the Lexus/BMW/Mercedes/Porsche SUVs stacked up around me and I got it in my head everyone was in 80-120K vehicles while I was in my $60k 2018 KingRanch F150.

So I burned a stereotype into my head. ?

But yeah, here we are 6 years later and I'm in another KingRanch F150 and I've joined the luxury arms race in co$t at least. It's crazy

Well I'm back fellas with a new 10 speed. A little over a month later I finally have my truck back . Seems to shift fine so far and interesting that it now skip shifts as before the trans went bad , it never skipped gears . ( my 2018 for reference did) I have to say I'm truly disappointed in Ford for putting me though hoops on the rental part . This was the worst part of it because i don't have their extended warranty which gives you rental. But at 20k miles , it should be a no brainer I get a free rental . First it was we got you approved for 10 days , then we needed another approval for 20 days and then another approval for 26 days. I needed a truck so I had to go to MIDWAY rental and got another F150 but their rate was $60 and ford would only allow $40. So I'm still trying to work with Ford to cover all of the rental charges . This will absolutely make me rethink about getting another Ford and not the actual transmission breaking part. Issues happen , its life so I'm not even mad about the transmission part , but when you play around with customers and their hard earned money they don't forget . Again I had 2 late model Sierras and even on oil changes they would give me a rental , no questions asked. Heck they would give me Escalades to drive around. LOL.. Just happy to have my truck back really.

Are you referring to upshifting or downshifting? My truck skips when downshifting, but last week I had several "Bang" occasions (hard downshift) that I rarely experienced before so I monitored the behavior closely on a long >400 miles trip, and I noticed that when I start driving from a full stop the tranny does not skip anything when accelerating and upshifting.
Now, I was so damn tired that I couldn't remember if this is normal behavior or if something bad is developing in my transmission and that's a sign of it.

I was referring to when the truck is barely being pushed , it will skip from 2nd to 4th to 6th etc. It actually starts now in second again like my 2018 did . Only thing i can think of is when the truck is being pushed hard/towing or hauling , it may not skip gears . But i can tell you that i had never had that " Bang" until a few months ago . Once a week it started doing it and then within 3-4 months later the trans went bad. Not saying yours is going bad but this was my experience with the bang noise/feel . Then go to a point where it would also take like 3-5 seconds for Drive or reverse to engage .

My 23 f150 had idle problems and transmission shifting Issues. Ford got involved buy 15days in the shop and nothing. I took it back from them and went to my mechanic. He fixed the rough idle problem in one day. Transmission issues is up to Ford. I will drive it till warranty runs out and then sell it. I’m not paying for extended warranty because Ford.can’t fix it. Great truck but can’t chance it failing after warranty runs out.

What was the solution to the idle issue?
