Yeah because that's what I want to do, pay $60,000 to $100,000 for a vehicle that has issues from factory. And I want to fix that vehicle myself and not have them fix it. Pay more money and take my time to try and fix their problem. If you like doing that I got a brand new house to sell you. It just needs a little bit of work you have to do yourself. But you got to pay full price. And the warranty, we're just kidding you have to work on it yourself. There are all kinds of YouTube videos out there to help you. Most of those failures occured right out of warranty. As far as the 13th gens, a truck that loses camphasers or burns oil at 80k miles is a total pile of sh*t and sorry excuse for a truck. You shouldn’t have to buy a BS extended warranty just to not shell out THOUSANDS in repairs rights after the factory warranty expires.
The new 8-speed is having major problems with gm. GM products are absolute garbage. GM can't even repair the new 8 speed. GM also uses the four 10 speed I believe it's the 10L80 designation. They just issued a massive recall for the same types of issues. And they didn't start using them till supposedly after Ford made the corrections in mid-2022 to the hardware in the Ford transmission.
Why would anyone justify any manufacturer putting out garbage. I run my business out of my vehicle. So if my vehicle goes down it could cost me thousands of dollars in Lost business because I don't have a vehicle to run. It's not free. I had to pay for an extended warranty I have to pay deductibles. But what's more costly is losing business because I don't have a vehicle to run in because these manufacturers have produce crap. Stop making excuses for crappy production. Wait till you have a major problem that cost you a bunch of money that you think is free. You'll be changing your tune.
