Late 13th gen trucks are all pieces of shit, I wouldn’t even buy one for any price. The engines were all garbage in that gen and the 10R80 was not figured out. Sorry but you got a bad year, 18-20 trucks aren’t worth the aluminum the body panels are stamped out of. Everyone I know who owned an 18-20 with the 3.5 or 5.0 would never buy another which is sad because Ford really got both motors right in 2021!
A bit of hyperbole?

The family fleet currently has 3 Gen13 3.5 Ecoboost F150's
2 of which are well beyond 100,000 miles.
A fourth was my own 2018 KingRanch Ecoboost. I towed my little 17' toy hauler all over the country with it for just short of 4 years.

None of them have experienced a single serious issue except the phasers on my brother's 2018 HDPP. He had an extend warranty and the job was covered at 88,000 miles.

General widespread condemnation is less than accurate, in my opinion. I owned a Gen12 F150 and loved it enough to buy a Gen13. And I enjoyed that one enough to own 2 Gen14s

I’m sticking to my guns on it, every one I’ve driven or known was a pile. The 5.0s all burned oil like a drunken sailor and the 3.5s all get the death rattle around 80k miles. Not a fan of 13th gens at all.

I'm just letting you guys know that have the newer models that Ford hasn't figured out how to fix the 10r80. If they had all of rebuilds, replacement, and software updates would have fixed mine. Try putting your truck in 4 low and driving it.
Keep preaching bro. Never mind the fimps.

Have owned 3 Gen 14s with the 10r80 and a ton of miles and zero problems. All have worked on and off road mud/snow and doesnt miss a beat.

I am a little surprised that anyone would think that the members of the forum don't believe that some people experience problems with their 10r80 transmission. I would bet the vast majority absolutely believe that there are faulty 10r80 transmissions.

But sometimes it comes across that someone who has had issues with theirs, they are in denial that many thousands do not.

And apparently if you point this out, you get labeled as some acronym. ??

Gen12 F150 with the ecoboost was the best truck I've ever owned. I've had more issues (simple recalls) with my Gen14 in the first year of ownership than I ever had with the Gen12 (2012). In fact, I held on to it avoid the Gen13.

I'm definitely not in that group, every part has it's day.

At this point you can practically rebuild a 10r80 from watching youtube videos. Every little hardware update is also there for free. It's humbling that a human who's in that industry would put that knowledge out there at no cost. 10r80 failures happen.

Or you can use the internet to complain about it, pretty clear what these guys were up to.

People that complain about mechanical failures are just afraid or not intelligent enough to fix those issues.

Ford knows they have faulty parts installed in the 2017-2022. I have definitely had issues with my 2021. And I'm going to force them to rebuild it to put the updated parts in it. Like you say, i am with you, I don't understand how anyone can say that transmission doesn't have problems. There are Ford mechanics out there with YouTube channels talking about the problems and the fixes Ford has put out for that transmission.

The adaptive learning in the 10r80 is bs. Transmissions should know everything they need to know from day one. First tsb plus rebuild at 30k, 2nd done at a little over 50k, complete unit replacement at 55k, transfer case replaced at 58k. Truck is still at the dealership experiencing damaging harsh shifting destroying the rest of the power train. Give customers a trans choice back.???
It would be very easy to lemon law that truck and get all of your money back that you paid for it. You should really do that. A lemon law attorney.
