That third one was the only update I got that ever mentioned Blue Cruise is what I am saying.

I never got any updates that mentioned Blue Cruise before I got the one that enabled it.
Or maybe the second one then. ?

I just got this update yesterday.

I don't have Bluecruise but do have (and use) adaptive cruise.

Guess I need to go for a ride, see what, if anything is different.

I found out you do have to be in Driver Assist mode to see the BlueCruise 1.4 animations and text prompts. I still haven't seen any suggesting lane shift for when a semi goes by. I know my wife's MME does show it shifting when a truck goes by.

Too bad you need to be in DA mode. There is plenty of screen real estate to show you something in other modes.

Update on the update failing and waiting for it to be resent. Truck updated this morning! Took a little over a month for it to be resent. Just be patient fellas. It will happen eventually!

I also received this update this week. Still no BC 1.4 functionality. I'm assuming this is because this is the SYNC update and I still need the IPMA. Is there a way to check? Does the IPMA typically arrive soon after the SYNC?

One update has nothing to do with the other. You could get the IPMA one in a few days, a few weeks or longer.

Huge thank you to rugedraw for the help with Forscan and VIN lookup!

My local dealer updated my modules under warranty and I made the changes in Forscan. BC 1.4 works!

Can you detail BlueCruise settings that will enable lane change info as displayed on your truck?
Thanks

You have to be in the "driver assistance" screen between your speedometer and tach to see the text.

I recently got back from a nice 3300+ mile road trip on my new 2025 KR. It was my chance to really try out the BlueCruise feature on the interstates and highways (and surprisingly a few smaller roads). The lane change assist is pretty cool, although I had to retrain my brain to let the truck do it. I'd find myself signaling for a lane change while in hands free mode and starting the change by myself, at which point BC would complain about canceling and so forth, but once I completed the change on my own, it resumed hands free.

Once I learned to just let BC do it for me, it was pretty weird at first but I got used to it. It did pretty well, although if I moved the turn signal all the way until it clicked (like if you were turning), when the change was done it wouldn't turn off the signal, so I also had to train myself to just do a "partial" signal, and then BC would keep the signal on until the change was (mostly) done and turn it off.

I also noticed the in-lane repositioning happening, like if I passed another car, it would subtly shift over to give more room. A couple of times, there was a line hog (someone who really loved hugging the lane divider) and I wish it had moved over more, so I found myself gently moving it over and not totally trusting the hands free.

I was also disappointed that if you go 81 or more MPH, the "hands free" turns into "hands on the wheel". Sad because in many states I was in, 75 or 80 is the limit and traffic is easily going in the 81-88'ish MPH range. It still steered and would do lane changes, etc. but it made you keep hands on the wheel. I don't know how strict it was about that but I just kept one hand resting on the wheel in case it wanted to yell at me.

The adaptive cruise control was interesting. In traffic it worked fine, slowing or speeding up to keep pace with cars ahead. Most of the time it didn't seem to care too much about curves and would keep me pretty close to the set speed, but there were other times when the road seemed to curve just as much where it would slow me down, sometimes by quite a bit, and seemingly too far in advance of the curve. I mean, I appreciate it because going around some of those mountain curves in Oregon or Utah at full speed would roll you over, and the truck seems to know. But other times it didn't seem to know... Maybe it's more to do with whether the built in nav system is aware of a reduced speed limit on curves, and not so much the curve itself? Some of those road sections are variable speed so there's just a digital sign telling you to slow down for curves ahead and it can vary if the road is wet/icy/dry so I don't know...

Anyway, all in all it was a pretty cool experience with it and it'll be interesting to see how BC evolves over time. I don't know how much can be added based on the hardware in each truck before they reach a point where the hardware can't deal with new features, but I like to think the equipment in a 2025 would have some long runway for adding new things before it stops receiving any new stuff.

@MPBFord , you touched upon a point I've wondered about: is BlueCruise totally separate from Connected Navigation? How does BlueCruise know to slow down for a curve? Does it see the curve and then make a judgement? This doesn't seem likely; especially since you felt it slowed down too early. Or does it know these predetermined curves by GPS data (presumably through Connected Navigation)? Back to the connection of BlueCruise and Connected Navigation. Does BlueCruise require active Connected Navigation, or does it use this service even if you don't subscribe to it? I wonder because while I very well might subscribe to BlueCruise, I have no intention of subscribing to Connected Navigation.

I’m not sure if anyone besides maybe @rugedraw remembering how I started parking my truck on the street because I was working on a Playset for my kids over a year ago. Then I got 8 updates in the 4 weeks it took for me to build a custom Playset solo.

Anyway I needed to clean out my garage so parked my truck on the street the past few days. BC 1.4 pops up and installs today. Kinda crazy my garage is an AT&T dead spot.
