just got off phone with them. i had called 800.768.8632, option 1. they told me to call tech 888.354.7558, as they couldn't help. they said tech would have to verify if servers were down, but to get a case number. they said they would also send an email. was transferred to tech, and was on hold for about 45 minutes. tech said they couldn't help, and to call the first number back. they also said no eta on when it would be back up, but i could try and login today, and if it was working, i should be good. i said no, i'm already down a day on the 2 day license and want a refund or extension. he said the first number would help with that and gave me a case number. got the email from the first lady, and it's just a refund/credit request form online. plugged in case number and order info, and now have to wait a week to 10 days for a determination on if i get a credit. so i'll probably wait to hear from you guys when servers are back up, and then i'll get a new license and work out this refund/credit thing separately.

It's been well established here for about 3-4 years that Sundays, especially, are a an FDRS licensing ri$k.
More times than not, we get away with it. And we also can strategically get more than an actual 48 hours of access, if we purchase the license timely.

I'm not excusing whoever it is that hosts FDRS and their maintenance interruptions on service. But nobody should be too surprised by it.

I agree, this go round it seems to have been unplanned. At least from what the support guy said.

I tried to log in on my Ford.ca account and Motorcraft Service today and I don't get the log in screen. Anyone else had or have this issue?

Can anyone log in to FDRS? I just tried a few times. I log in and get the green check mark saying password is verified, and then it goes back to the login screen and shows this:

May I know what was the issue and how to solve it. Have the same issue last week.
I just tried again with my regular login and got in. Seems to be my dealer login has the issue. Ford probably banned it from FDRS in their continued efforts to stop people like me from fixing the things they break.

Run the PMI
Today I tried to update PMI to all modules where errors are not erased. It didn't help at all. I probably suspect that the problem is not software, but physical. Although, for example, the same steering wheel turns very easily, the car sees the markings (in those places where it remained after the winter) and keeps a straight line. I don't understand anything. Which way to look and where to dig?

I just bought a 2 day lic. newer laptop from when I did my updates years ago. but have everything installed. I am also getting the login error. (Non-dealer)
Any input?

did the network test and getting this login error. password is good etc. if I type a wrong password it fails on the login screen and does not come back to the main screen

I did fire up my old laptop. It still had FDRS 34.5.2 running on it. but when I typed in my new lic it displayed that lic is already installed on another PC. The one I am getting the login error on. So understand this. just trying some work arounds.


Another update. I removed the lic from the new laptop and added it to the old laptop running 34.5.2. Still fails. dont even get to the FORD login page . Fails and reads cannot contact server. removed lic from the laptop and its back in newer laptop. Still same error as below.

Hello everyone

@Bowtye8 That version of FDRS is way tool old and won't work. Are you logging in with the same full email address and password you use for Fordpass?

Unfortunately, nobody is going to be able to help you with this. Not anymore. Ford recently changed something in FDRS and if anyone from the US runs a VIN from a vehicle in Europe, the UAE or any other region, our accounts get banned.

USB Error 0 I believe it there is not enough space for the update to install. If FDRS is giving you the option to remove the voice files before it creates the USB update, try that. I am not sure what USB error 3 is, but you can try removing the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes and try it again after you reconnect the battery.

When FDRS creates the USB, open the USB on your laptop and check what the contents inside of it are. It should be one manifest file and one folder called "fordsoftwareupdates" and nothing else. If you don't see a manifest, you can try opening the folder to see if it somehow got put in the folder and then cut it out of the folder and paste it in the root of the USB outside the folder. However, if there is no manifest in there at all, there is nothing you can do.
