Appreciate the cross post, @Ajzride. I've already bought a shifter and got some PETG filament on the way for my CR10. I have only printed in PLA so this shouldn't be too much of a difference.

Worth noting that if you purchase a 3D printed one make sure you know what kind of filament they used. You'll probably be in for a bad time in the middle of summer in Texas if someone sold you one printed in PLA.

I'll probably end up doing this if I decide to keep my truck long term.

I would seriously consider ASA. PETG is borderline for using inside the car. It will definitely warp a little. My snap in work console I printed out of PETG warped after about six months.

Definitely noted. I've been out of the 3d printing scene for a few years, hence the CR10. It's a reliable one, but I want a newer one myself.

I have the expedition rotary shifter in mine and you can feel the notches on it when you shift. It also doesn’t spin if you don’t have your foot on the brake.
Do you have a p/n for the Expedition knob with notches, the M and +/- ?

There is at least 3 part numbers that I can see. NL1Z 7P155-A (Has "Drive Mode") NL1Z 7P155-B (Plain but does have +/-) NL1Z 7P155-C (Has what looks like a rear diff lockout logo of somekind "electronic limited slip"). I can post pics if anyone wants to see a specific one

Thanks Ajzride, but that one has diff lock that is not needed or wanted.

I haven't looked to closely yet but for me NL1Z7P155B 22-24, LL1Z7P155J 2020/21 or JL1Z7P155R 2018/19 Expedition at a glance look like they may have just M/+/- for the tow/haulers. Not sure if other features like auto shift into P, etc. will work with these either. I may just have to find out by trial and error.

Yep, I am wondering if B, J, R, or any will work.

Now I am curious if superduty could use the "knob"
Or we get sync to recognize...upshift please or down shift one
HAL....in tow haul or sport.
...shift HAL...hmm shift please HAL
.....???

Over on super duty forum a few say the console electronic shifter won't work
Because it's a hard cable link to transmission
I am not sure. Need to verify
But it will shift to park if you
Open a door when stopped.
And engine is running

Nice mod!! If you like rotary knob shifter. Personally, I cannot stand them, nor can I stand a column shifter. I probably would not have bought my truck if there was no option for console shifter. what can I say, old timer :)

You are the exact person Ford interviewed when they decided to spend millions building a folding mechanical shifter.

I'll slow down and get off your grass.
