Lots of great info on this thread. I have some questions that I have gotten mixed answers to. Has anyone done this on a 2024 STX or XL? I have heard that the wiring isn't the same and that you need a new harness. Is this true?

Also, which part do I need to buy in order to add the auto climate? can I get any 2021-2024 auto climate module?

I appreciate any help that you guys can provide to me.

I did this on my 24 STX. No harness change required. I used Ford part # ML3T-18C612-AE

Only issue you will have is that the Dual Zone climate will not work due to the actual dual zone hard parts not being installed on our lower trim level trucks. This will not cause any issue other than a latent code in the system.

Do you know if there is a way to remove that code? That’s why I originally started this thread haha. It seems like it’s been a great help for others though.

So, it makes it auto temp but no dual zone?

To my knowledge (and other responses) there is no way to remove the code.

Thank you for the help. I have just ordered a Module. What happens if the passenger touches the climate control? does it just do nothing? will it show the temperature pop up on the screen if I code it in forscan?

If the passenger changes their side, it will show a different temp in their knob but not change the actual temp. Really it will do nothing.

You can change the display to "Unreal Theme" and add the climate info to the bottom of the screen. It will show you the temp controls and settings on screen that way...I didn't like and just switched back to the default screen.

What is unreal theme? The module that I got doesn’t have the display inside the knobs. So I have no idea what the temperature is actually set to. Is this something I can turn on inside forscan? Do you know which settings I need to tweak? Any info is greatly appreciated

Check out @Livnitup FORSCAN info:

Line 58 & 59 on the common mods page will enable Unreal Theme and add climate controls to your home screen. They must be used together.

I ended up just turning on the fan and temperature repeaters. Seems to work just fine. I have one issue that I cant seem to understand how it could be related, but only started after the swap. I cannot turn off the auto start/stop feature. If I click the button it just wont turn off and the off light will not illuminate. I know the button has power because its lit up, but its not doing anything when I click it. Did you run into this? could be unrelated but it was working fine until the swap. I never unplugged the button lol. Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I can figure out this auto stop now. Does yours work?

Mine seems to be working fine without changing any coding in the HVAC module. All I changed was coding in the APIM to add temp and fan repeaters. What made you change the coding in the HVAC Module? Do you know if this is necessary as mine seems to be working fine now?

If you scan it for codes you will likely see if it’s an issue. I changed the coding in the HVAC module because I got mine used. I don’t know if it is to be honest. I spent a lot of time playing around.

It is showing some DTC but I just figured that was because there is not passenger side physical parts in there. Is your auto start/stop button working? Did you find a way to clear the DTC?
