Okay, update on my saga to break my truck. I'd already soft bricked the IPMA shown here purple...

I started to re-apply the update after rebooting the machine (the laptop is well abused, had a 55GB page file in-use) but was re-doing it and the truck didn't update-power-down during the process.....

Before it dawned on me, and reinforced by rugedraw that it could do the 30m activity timeout, it had done so. Upon waking it back up, the IPMA was MIA. The odd part was that the SODL/R +CCM were responding so I knew it was still half alive (assuming that they actually talk through it and it's not just an independent bus splice w/out it needing to actually be alive). Sample MIA device, I didn't screenshot the MIA IPMA (missing device example below ala DSP aka B&O amp)

Tried to let the truck sleep it off for 10m but the IPMA wouldn't come back. Ended up having to unplug the batts before it'd start talking again.

Had a fam emergency come up so it's broke for the night. I finally got it to break, even if temporarily

I'm the one who helped him do it up to a certain extent. He did the actual programming, I provided the files and basic instructions. If you want to do it, that's fine, but note that if something goes wrong and you don't have a Mongoose, I can't help you fix it. So you can do it at your own risk.

Well I spoke to you about getting a Mongoose to address my APIM woes anyway. I will be in touch.

Me too. If you're curious what happens to the circuits on 'smart FETs' when shorted to ground, they come back on key cycle. Surprised they don't use more of them.

Did a few updates to night. DDM PDM ACM GWM AND TCU... All updates went good.. but i went to look at DTC and i have this showing. anyone know why this saying not programed.
