Yes I always wear my seatbelt when driving. So I’m guessing IPMA being on a newer version than the APIM is throwing it out of whack and causing me to lose lane centering until the APIM updates off the USB drive.
Yes. I had this issue back in 2021.

Would you be able to send that to me as well? Mongoose should be here tomorrow and I’ll be doing the updates this weekend. Also if someone would help me out with the necessary forscan changes on BC 1.4 it would be much appreciated
I don't have access to that info right now. Post a request on VIN lookup thread to request that info. DO NOT post your VIN. Someone may respond and contact you. The member that normally does this is on vacation.

That's relieving to hear. Sooner the better as I now lost that cruise control. I put a new Ford battery in the truck yesterday and got a low battery warning and remote features were disabled after I drove the truck 25 minutes home. It was on a strong tender the whole time while we did updates for 4ish hours, just lots of turning the ignition on and off. I will leave it on a tender for the night and just hope the update pushes through soon. Initially just wanted the update for full screen carplay and unlocking BC as I can't access it whatsoever with this outdated software. I'd also like to use my bed camera while in motion but not sure if that's something this update will fix or if it's something I will need to do in Forscan after these updates complete.

For the moment, all you can do is continue to drive the truck and patiently wait for the update to kick off and install. Plan on another 15 to 18 hours of FDRS updates in your next session once the APIM update completes. In the end you will have all of the features you're looking for, but first you need to be fully updated.
I strongly suggest you use a battery power supply such as the one linked below when doing updates in the future, these modules are very sensitive to voltage change when updating and an under-voltage situation can very quickly destroy a module.

A 2 day subscription for FDRS. Don't try updating with ForScan. A 64GB USB stick formatted to ExFat. If you have a few, brand name, USB sticks because for some reason some don't work in the truck even though they formatted correctly. I always format the USB after every update that uses it. Most members are on the forum over the weekend, so don't be afraid to post any questions or problems. Screen shots of the problem is a bonus. There is a list of what order modules should be updated. I will try and find mine and PM it to you.

Do you know what updates your truck has in FDRS?

Good Luck
I do not currently know. I guess I could ask @rugedraw if he could check my vehicle.

Question:

Since this thread has grown to about 1k pages, is the beginning still correct and up to date with any new info? I ask because I'm about to start working on my '23 Platinum, to update everything it's missing and ideally get the latest BlueCruise working on it (take advantage of the 3 free yrs I got).

I have the power supply, FORScan and the mongoose. Anything I should be doing in preparation for the weekend? I plan to backup everything in FORScan first. Just in case.

My goal is to get everything done without having to bother the exerts, on here. My experience has been that everyone here is extremely helpful but I want to let them enjoy THEIR weekend as well.

Any tips/suggestions appreciated.
This is Fords description of steps to update modules for BlueCruise.

1002 pages! Wholly cow.
At the risk of asking an already answered question.
Does the mongoose work with ids? I have a 2016
Ecoboost f150. I'm wondering if I need to purchase a vcm 2.
I also have a Mdci pro from topdon that's supposed to mimic the vcm2.

The Mongoose will not work with IDS. I had heard a rumor (and only a rumor) that someone got it to work with hacked drivers, but I wouldn’t do it.

VCM II is no longer made and Chinese clones are risky. Your best bet is a VCM 3, but that’s big money.

Been going through updates. Are there certain modules that will always be listed even if you've already run them? I'm assuming that maybe it's incremental versions. Don't know since this is my first time going through these and there's a lot of extra crap in that list, that appear to be diagnostic options.

So far, I've not had to use the USB thumb drive yet. Could those have been updated OTA?

Depending on how far behind your truck is on updates, FDRS will keep releasing newer updates. Only a couple of the modules use USB to update. You should only be on the software updates tab and not see anything other than available updates.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping I can get some sort of assistance with an issue I'm running into with a replacement used PCM from a 2021 on my 2023 Tremor. I had Ford dealer reprogram the used PCM to the truck. No issues with truck after change except I'm seeing a VIN mismatch on Forscan as well as 2 different types of OBDII scanners to confirm. The PCM and OBDII modules show the old VIN from the used PCM while the other modules are showing the correct VIN to the truck. I called the dealer and the service tech said he did everything he had the ability to do. I'm not too sure that's the case but maybe someone has a suggestion to either ask the dealer to do a certain procedure or if I can just do it myself.

I greatly appreciate any assistance I can get. Thanks!
