Its a balmy 11 F here.

And 6 tonight, up from 2, for the low.

A good chunk of the drive is a skating rink.

My Wife wants me to put salt on it but I had to tell her it won't work in these temps and its gonna be in the 40s in a few days.

What are all you lunatics doing living places where "above" and "below" are part of the temperature???
 o_O

I need to go put some sheeting over my citrus trees tomorrow, as I didn't put it up for the hothouse this year, and we're going to get an unusually low 16F in a couple of nights . . .

I parked my 2023 XL with very low gas level last night (less than 8% range left) and the FordPass wouldn't allow remote start this darn cold morning (13°). I was PO'd at first but it made sense actually. After filling up at the gas station a mile away, remote start now working. Go figure...
So, this morning, same thing: 14°, "vehicle failed to start". Mustang parked next to it started right up. Could there be some fault in the truck that forces to computer to not allow the remote start?
Yesterday morning after the failed remote start, it started right uo using the key.
Thanks for any feedback y'all can give!

It won't melt the ice, but it might act as grit (like sand) to help you get a bit of traction in the meantime.

I have sand for that but either way, If it was going to stay cold longer, or any more frozen precip. on top of it, I'd do something but its going to be 35 today and 50 on Sat.

So, meh.

There are much more knowledgeable people on here than me, i.e. Snakebitten. But cold weather can affect battery performance, and I have come to blame low voltage anytime something starts acting "squirrely". I'd put it on the NOCO overnight.

Cold here in Indiana.
Hey neighbor (state), I feel you, but somehow yesterday afternoon, it felt "good" -5F(not counting WC), albeit colder than Monday's temps (Monday's real feel was -2F). Go figure!

It's a hit-and-miss on my truck for sure during very low temps so far. FOB works fine, consistently. This morning it started with the App (didn't time out like the past 3 days).

Are you using the FOB or the Ford Pass app?

The batter management system will not allow certain features if it detects the battery below a certain level. If you do a lot of short drives only, the battery isn't getting charged enough. The Ford Pass app should be telling you when these options have been suppressed.

Only using the Ford Pass app, I don't have a fob that will start it.. I don't get any messages, just the fail to start one noted above. I will check the state of charge on tfhe battery tomorrow morning before starting it. The truck is about 2 years old on the original battery.
My 2020 mustang EB is on a replacement battery

I have a 2023 and mine has gone into the BMS low mode....and the app will have a message "Remote features disabled to preserve battery". And when it's in this mode, the walk up/welcome lights won't turn on, and the dome light won't even turn on when you open a door.

It's been brutally cold here, so I started putting the truck on a trickle charger at night, and the issue has gone away. When the time comes, I will probably replace the battery with an H8. Even with that, the real issue is my driving, I do a lot of short trips.
