Just took my truck out on i75 for about 45 min for the first time since FDRS updates and bluecruise never initiated? It’s a patch of the interstate that it’s always activated on before. Anybody have any ideas why? Do I need to do a camera calibration or something?
No dashboard alerts?
How about soft codes?

Nope no dashboard alerts. I'm not sure about soft codes as my FDRS subscription expired last night.

I was messaging back and forth with rugedraw about this and told him the only thing I can think of is my truck was still running on the bluecruise subscription from the previous owner (bought in Aug). It stayed active on my truck even after connecting truck to my FordPass account and everything (would show in my ford pass account that I don’t have BC even though it worked in the truck).

I can only guess that maybe all the communicating back and forth with ford during the update process finally disconnected the old owner's BC subscription from my truck.

I went ahead and purchased BC. It says "active' in my connected services on my app, but the payment is still pending and I haven't received an order confirmation yet. I drove it home about 45 min on i75 and BC still wouldn't come on. Hopefully it's just because the payment is still "pending" even though it says BC is active in my account.

I know this sounds simple... but make sure it's enabled in the driver's assistance menu. Sometimes the FDRS updates can reset toggles.

So I thought my FDRS expired last night, but it's actually active until midnight tonight. Only CMDTC i have is for my active air dam being removed.

When I reactivated the connected navigation on my truck, it did not start working until the next day after several key cycles. I think the trucks are slow to receive the activation signal from Ford depending on how good its cellular signal is at your location.

When I reactivated my Bluecruise subscription last spring, I did it from Fordpass on my phone while I was driving to work.

It literally started working about 2 minutes after I submitted the payment.

Well I’m at a loss now.. got the order confirmation from ford late last night stating my payment was processed and subscription active.

Just took the track back on the interstate. Hit cruise control, then when I hit the driver assistance button it immediately says “lane centering system not available” followed by “lane keep assist active”. Tried it about 10 different times with the same result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I knew this whole process went way to easy for the luck I have lol

Hello, I'm new to the site, but looking for some assistance. I recently reached out to Ford's update division, and they informed me I was behind on several module updates. Since I'm out of warranty (40k miles), I called a trusted shop who told me they had the Ford software to manually download the updates. Trying to make a long story short, they were unable to install the updates (later told me their tool was "out of date" and need to order a new tool) and now I have no access to my 360 cameras, back up sensors, cruise control, blind spot detection. They claim with the new "tool" this will fix but my problems. Is anyone able to search my vin and let me know if a module repair from FDRS will get me back up and running?

VIN:

Thanks,

Welcome to the forum! please post a picture the "About SYNC" screen in your truck, so that we can get a general idea about where your truck is at.

@m_bt54 Looks like another truck affected.

Thanks,
Tool was out of date my ass. They most likely used something other than a Mongoose and messed something up. Your truck is reporting codes, but I can't see them for some reason. They are not being reported to the cloud correctly. I am sure FDRS can fix it, but having the correct tool is imperative for these things. Do you have FORScan?

Most legit auto repair shops do NOT use a Mongoose. Most use much more expensive J-boxes that support far more than just a subset of vehicles from one brand. But those have to be kept updated as well (firmware on the device itself). Those cost a TON off dollars to purchase and update. I'm pretty sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, though ...

Might be time to put up a warning about PowerBoosts updating to this IPMA. At this point the only way to fix it is to roll back
