I want to thank @rugedraw and @Jesse-Infotainment! I updated my 22 PB over Thanksgiving with the help of this forum, thread, and individual help via DMs of the two above. I couldn't be happier with the truck. BC 1.4 is amazing. BC went from a quick party trick to a very stable and reliable feature. I have put over 400 miles of BC from Dallas and Ft Worth and Dallas to Austin and back. Even over 80mph with hands on lane centering, it is stable and no longer bounces around in the lane like a drunk. It will even lane change for you (hands on) at 80 plus with the new software.

Additionally glare free is much approved. It is more active and fills the right side of the road with light even if there are cars ahead and oncoming. The new APIM doesn't drop car play any long the start up logo is so much more modern. Very much worth the time.

You do need a power supply. 20 amps. I completed it with 10 amps after charging overnight and resetting the BMS and charging again with a new battery and I got down to 12.4v on the IMPA update.

I do have one question.. When I remote start via the key or app my parking sensors have a different beep noise. A softer beep beep (more fancy almost). When I start with the key it is the typical ford parking sensor noise. Very weird. Curious if anyone else has a different parking sensor beep after updates.

I just finished the IPMA and PSCM updates (in that order). All apparently went well but the PSCM did not clear. I have done it 2 more time, both which went quickly but still there. All modules green on FDRS. I did the Forscan changes for 1.4 and BC works better but don't have the lane change option in driver assistance. I do not have a subscription to BC. Am I missing something?
Thanks

You post is a little confusing, is your BC active?

Lane change assist is for Bluecruise and since you do not have an active BC subscription, that is probably why that option is not displayed or available

I have the self driving but have to put my hand on the wheel every few minutes when it complains. Otherwise will steer, accelerate and brake. Also now seems to anticipate turns up ahead by slowing down.

Bluecruise is hands free driving on applicable roads. The acceleration and braking is all from the adaptive cruise control and by steering, I assume you mean lane keeping assistance. Those functions are all technically considered driver assistance features and not technically BC. But, all of those updates do improve all of those driver assistance features a lot.

As I mentioned previously, the lane change assist ***with the limited information available is only available right now with the BC hands free driving to my knowledge*** and without a BC subscription you will not be able to use that feature.

So it sounds like the option will not show up on the Drivers Assistance screen without a subscription. Is is normal for the PSCM update to not clear? I know the ACM does not and the BCM is not possible without a special login. Thanks

I'll look into it tomorrow for you. In the meantime, double check the changes you made to the apim.

Ignore the PSCM still being on the list. I've had a few people tell me it stays on the list after they update it.

If you are on a blue cruise route and you go over 80MPH it will cancel BC but it will still change lanes (when prompted) if you still have cruise control engaged or mine will at least. Not sure if you still have to have a subscription to BC or not tho.

Thanks! I double checked the Forscan changes and looks good but will check again just to be sure.

Heck if i know... i did correct my post to indicate that is with my knowledge about the system... I am not Ford...

but that is strange, so you are saying BC is canceled meaning hands on steering wheel is required but you can hit the turn signal and the vehicle will change lanes without you moving the steering wheel and all dash options show the hands on steering wheel???

Yes, it will change lanes when BC is kicked out if you are going over 80+ lol. First time it done it with me months ago I was a little confused when I indicated to get back over it pop up on the screen lane change so I let it do its thing and keep going 82ish with a little hold on wheel

Same for me. But I have to hit 82 mph indicated before the vehicle is actually exceeding 80. But when BC alerts for hands on (visually), the blinker induced lane change assist is still functioning. I posted about it the first time I experienced it. I'm not certain it has always been that way since I first updated at the beginning of the year. If it was, I just didn't notice.

It's like Bluecruise is still active, but is in a hands-on state.

Mine has been this way for months but not sure how long tho. It nice that it still works when the truck isn’t in BC tho

Well.... i have never noticed that happening but I normally do not hit the 82 mph mark where BC switches to hands on driving.... but I guess tomorrow I will be doing just that to check it out! Lol!

I guess.... I know nothing!!! ?
