We have to remember that Ford updated the IPC software and now hands on lane centering gets the message “BlueCruise Active” in the cluster. Essentially they have branded hands on lane centering as “BlueCruise”and what used to be BlueCruise As “BlueCruise Hands Free”.You post is a little confusing, is your BC active?
Lane change assist is for Bluecruise and since you do not have an active BC subscription, that is probably why that option is not displayed or available
Yea, you need to enable it with FORScan. I'll message you.took it for a quick 20mile ride at 70mph on the highway... b.cruise was much tighter staying within the lane(no ping-pong) but disconnected in some average curves. Also not sure if I now have 1.4? as I dont have the lane change feature, unless I also have to do something(s) in Forscan too? I've got a 100mile day tomorrow and just trying to get all the settings found/done correctly.
Calling them will be a waste of time.Has anyone ever had success with the Ford OTA Expert team? I was hoping they might be able to nudge my dealer to do the updates under warranty. So far, they have refused.
"I definitely want you to get the help that you've requested, Doug! This question will be best handled by Over The Air (OTA) experts, we would recommend reaching out to the Over The Air (OTA) team to confirm. The OTA team is available at 833-389-0848, 8:00 a.m. -11:00 p.m. EST (Monday-Friday) 8:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m. EST (Saturday)."
That's just embarrassingly bad for Ford to have so many updates that don't clear, don't install, etc...Do the BCMC. I would also try the DSP again, but if it continues to linger, ignore it. The ACM and recently the PSCM have been reported to not come off the list after you update it.
Sync 24127 is the latest available for our trucks, so you're good to go there.
I called them when I first got my truck and they told me my truck was looking good on updates and I was so far behind! I didn’t even have full screen Apple car play lol.Calling them will be a waste of time.
While I would prefer the available updates listing to appropriately render after the update has been delivered successfully to the vehicle, I don't think it's that embarrassing for Ford. FDRS isn't exactly a consumer facing application for the brand. You aren't likely to ever meet another human being that knows the ACM update didn't clear from the list. ?That's just embarrassingly bad for Ford to have so many updates that don't clear, don't install, etc...
Updating the firmware in all your vehicles modules is not, in and of itself, a warrantable item. Unless you've got a great relationship with your dealership and they are willing to pay a technician for 1 to 2 days' worth of his time without them getting paid for it, your only choices are (a) wait for the OTAs to arrive or (b) purchase the hardware and software subscription and do it yourself.Has anyone ever had success with the Ford OTA Expert team? I was hoping they might be able to nudge my dealer to do the updates under warranty. So far, they have refused.
No, it's not. Unless a customer pays for the hardware and subscription to do it himself/herself, they have no idea what updates do and don't clear, don't install, etc. That's just embarrassingly bad for Ford to have so many updates that don't clear, don't install, etc...
It does the same thing for techs. They know. I lived this world for years (technology for doing over the air updates to devices and systems). Ford’s maturity in this area is years behind the mainstream. No, it's not. Unless a customer pays for the hardware and subscription to do it himself/herself, they have no idea what updates do and don't clear, don't install, etc.
