Just purchased a 2024 PB Lariat F-150. Love lots of things about the truck, but it rides awful. Sways so bad going over small bumps it nearly makes you sick. Dealer won’t do anything about it. Throws occasional error codes and the braking stutters, but again the dealership won’t do anything about it. Truck only has 1,300 miles on it and I’d gladly return it if that were an option.
Gotta be honest. I’m not too impressed other than the gas mileage and power.

My best 100 mile trip was 26mpg, my best hour long trip was 36mpg. My average is 23mpg. Best truck ever. It’s also faster than my buddy’s raptor so that doesn’t hurt my feelings either.
I have a 2023 Lariat and want a 2025 Lariat but you cannot get a new Lariat with the 2.7 which to me is dumb and you also cannot get a 2wd anymore it has to be 4wd another dumb move by Ford. I get 27 mpg all day long. I will never use 4wd but I love the Lariat model

Sorry to hear you’re having issues. I almost bought a PB 3.5 Lariat, but I was a bit afraid of the hybrid, so opted for a 3.5 Eco King Ranch. So far, so good at 6K, but not getting the mileage it’s rated for.

What kind of mpg are you getting? thanks
My average for the first 4,500 miles is 21.5 mpg. I've gotten as low as 16.5 going 80 mpg into the wind with inclines. Gotten 27 mpg multiple times on 45 mile trips on country roads and a few small town where speeds never got above 65 mph. My son bought a 23 PB and called me to tell me how much he liked it. He got 32 mpg while stuck in Houston traffic on a 20-mile drive home. That is when I rechecked the PB option and found the incentives covered the $1900 cost of the PB and I was not forced to buy the tow/haul package so put that savings toward the 7.2 generator.

I’ve given great thought(and almost 5000 miles of contemplation)and my answer to the topic’s question is:

Yes

Now that the answer is out there, let me show the work:

21-23 worked out most of the Powerboosts issues.

22-23 had many deletes of desired options. Other then some interior lighting deletes, everything is there in 24.

As was mentioned before, the Powerboost was essentially a no cost option, in 2025 it costs extra.

I greatly prefer the bronze to the marsh grey as a secondary color.

My '09 Lariat has been a great truck but is getting long in the tooth. I was leaning hard toward a new XLT Powerboost or Lariat Powerboost, but reading the posts about F-150 quality on this forum is pushing me away. Is Ford quality that bad right now? Appreciate your seasoned advice.
Yes, buy one. There are good ones and bad ones. But the good ones faaaar outweigh the bad ones. Ford makes a fuckload of vehicles, so keep that in mind.

Besides the potential fuel savings, having 7200w of power when you need it, is amazing. I used it again today when we lost power for no reason, for 5 hours..

King crab for dinner tonight with no spoilage!!

Thank you very much the new ones have to be 4wd which I will never use and lowers mpg

I found the sway really bad as well on my 22 PB shit wagon, so I installed a pair of HD RAS bars. The ride is now much more planted and comfortable

I have a '22 XLT PB. Lots of promise, absolutely no delivery. I've never owned a vehicle that's had so many problems in my life. Stay far away.
I will, at least to date, counter that with my MY22 PB that's only had routine maintenance and recall visits to the dealer. So far, it's been trouble free. I have 30k miles on it, and well over 1/2 have been towing my travel trailer.

First off, hi everyone.
I am glad to be joining the community.
Here goes my first contribution.
My personal experience short answer yes.
Buy the best PowerBoost with all the options you think you could possibly want and afford.
I traded a 22 PowerBoost XLT last month for a 24 Lariat. I was quite fond of the 22 XLT. I Loved Big Black Beauty and her big ears (tow mirrors), but couldn’t stand manually folding the mirrors in any longer. The 24 Lariat does shift much better, but seems a tad bit slower in sport mode.
