I went from Toyo's to Nexen's...I have run multiple sets on my wife's truck throughout the years and never had an issue. Smoothest riding tire I've found in that size honestly...I should have gone with them to begin with...but figured I'd try something new. That bit me in the butt...

They are the Nexen Roadian HP to be exact. Glad I didn't go with the Nitto's as my alternative to the Toyo's!
Thanks, I really dread climbing under the damn truck again to finish it up.

So I finally crawled back under the truck, Took everything back apart and started over. I set the pinion at 3.5 degrees up. That as close as I could get from 1 degree down from the engine at being at 4.7 degrees down. I also removed the overload springs to get a better ride. I bolted everything back up with new you bolts and took it for a drive.
The truck is as good as it will get without buying new tires, so I think I'm done for a while.

I spent a little more time this weekend adjusting coilers to level the truck side to side. I also made the final adjustments to shocks and have them dialed in perfectly.
The truck is now a pleasure to drive and rides great. Really rough roads are still rough, but its a lowered truck.
While I was at it, I installed the XLT grill, piano black door handle and mirror covers, along with the performance fender vents. My final purchase before I have to pay the property taxes at the end of the year, will be a bed cover.

Looks great. Is the difference between the Xl and XLT grill that it is painted? Looks that way to me.

I was just posting in another newer RCSB thread that there are a lot of 2wd RCSB trucks on dealer lots in my area but no RCSB 4X4. I could probably pick up a 2wd for ~ $36,000 or maybe even less but the 5.0 will roast the tires on a hard launch with 2wd and no weight in the back but 2wd could make for a lively powertrain in all other situations and probably handle better too.

Its tempting but I must hold out for the right time and right truck. ?

I wish I would have got the 2wd and saved the money. Mine is stock and will spin a little from a dead stop in 2wd, but it mostly hooks up and hauls ass! I think it had enough rubber with the 305/45/22 tires to get traction.

Truck looks great.

That's an STX grill, not an XLT. XLT grill has a gloss piece that runs horizontally across the middle.

Thanks for the info, it was an EBAY piece, so it was not labeled.

I got mine from eBay as well, helluva lot cheaper than going through the dealer lol.

Did your truck come with the fog lights or did you source the parts? I've been trying to track down the part numbers for the fog lights and short harness from them to the one already on the truck but not having any luck

My truck had them, the bumpers were chrome that are now powder coated.
I am going to pull the grill again and change out the inner part for my XL grill. I like it better than the one that came in the painted grill. While I am there, if I see some part numbers on the harness or the lights I will post them.
You could also get the VIN on a truck with fog lights and get your dealer to look them up.

If you can that'd be great, if you can't see them no worries I appreciate it.

I tried, both dealers I talked to were more than willing to sell me the stuff but didn't want to give me the part numbers. I get it, they want the sale. Is what it is, I'll track them down sooner or later lol.

That’s good information to know. I’ve owned 2WD pick up trucks my whole life so for me it’s a hard sell on the 4WD especially when you consider the downsides in drivability with the added weight and drivetrain friction. I’m just not sure if the 5.0 makes traction challenging off the line. My 2001 Toyota Tundra did have some traction issues but was a blast to drive in all other situations.
