Wanting to tint windows! ( completed)

Hey everyone I know this topic comes up a bunch but my search only brought up a few threads mostly about just tinting the front doors. I know there used to be a thread called “show me your tints” but I couldn’t find it.

I have a LeadFoot crew cab so anyone can chime in but if you also have a LeadFoot with tint that would be a plus

Anyway I’m wanting to get all doors and rear window tinted and I’m curious what those who have tinted the rear glass have gone with percentage wise? My daughter is rear facing in her car seat and she is constantly getting blasted by the sun.

I’d run 20% on back glass, 20% over factory rear doors, and 5% on front 2 doors. Or go a touch lighter on the front 2!

I sell/install tint and the % level is secondary, mostly used for privacy and your vehicle comes standard with 20% on the rears. You want a hi performance film like Ceramic that will block 80-90% of the solar heat and comes in any % from 70 to 5. Redline Restyling is in your city and sells Geoshield tint so check them out.

35% on the windshield is ballsy --- 50% is about as much as you can get away with without being noticed and 20% on the fronts. If a cop can't see your silhouette the odds of getting chased down for tint goes up considerably. That's pretty much an instant stop for the highway pirates.

I applied a 50% LLumar ceramic tint on the windshield, Scorpion Shield Series (Nano-Ceramic)15% on the front windows, and 20% on the back and rear windows, which essentially totals 5% w/ the factory privacy tint.

No issues at all driving at night. The pic I posted was at an angle and it was cloudy that day, so it appears darker than it really is. I'll try to post a direct side pic when it is sunny out.
Keep in mind that what you see in these pictures can drastically change the perception of the tint depending on the angle, time of day, etc.

I did 5% on the top of the windshield "brow", 5% on the front windows, and 20% over the rear window to bring it to roughly 5% to match the front. Ceramic tint is the way to go for sure.
