Indeed.
Answer has remain unchanged through every bluecruise post.
I got all my updates done this weekend but ran out of time before forscan. Hoping to make some time over the next few days to get the new features. BUT Just the updates had a huge improvement in overall blue cruise performance. I'm very happy with it right now.

I have a ‘22 PB Limited fully chipped , I really like the Blue Cruise I have but I have not used since I got my
Truck back from a 3week visit to the dealership. I have used it on trips to SC from Indiana and it worked very well. I don’t have/use Forscan or any of that tuning stuff. (It’s over my limited technology mind) love reading about what y’all are doing though .

I don't think you can get BC 1.2
Gonna have to go update beyond that.

I have updated all of the modules in my 2022 PB KR and used Forscan to reset all of the modules. But I still do not have lane change. There are mentions of bits that have to be set in Forscan but I cannot find any information on what bits need to be changed. Can anyone help me with the programming changes I need to do with Forscan?

Well, I just saw Blue Cruise 1.5 announced with automatic lane change. Supposed to come on the 25 Mustang first.

I had 3 hour drive to another city south of me today, so it was my first real test of blue cruise for me since taking delivery of the truck. (I’m in a 2024 so I think it has BC 1.2) Overall it’s what I expected..nothing close to Tesla autopilot obviously, but very stable as long as the highway is straight (mostly). As soon as there’s a curve or something it can’t handle (which is almost anything that isn’t straight) it will disengage and ask to keep my hands on the wheel. I had to intervene about 10-15 times. Hopefully version 1.4 truly improves with the disengagements through curves as the marketing stuff states. There were even stretches of straight road where it would disengage for no reason. Again it’s about what I expected so I’m not really disappointed but I feel that it’s for too conservative for the tech the trucks are equipped with (radar and cameras)

That's interesting, The 1.4 stack in mine operating in hands-on mode w/ ankle weight attached (hands-free hack) will scare passengers at the speed it will take curves at. 1.4 in the MME in hands on mode is a bit of a wuss slowing down just due to steering angle (not even PSA). Ford has already shown a demo of 1.5, curious when that will show up. Only new feature I saw was auto lane change to go around slower vehicles and move back over to the original lane.

What version of BC you have is dependent and what IPMA software you have. In order to have lane change etc on a 21-23, you need to update the IPMA with FDRS to the latest version which is ACJ. We call it BC 1.4 because the ACJ software is the same software that was rolled out to Mach E's in early access last December and it was called BC 1.4 in the OTA that was sent out before Ford pulled it.

Now on the Mach E, there is a new IPMA software (BAE version) that Ford is calling BC 1.3 and that software is replacing the ACJ software that is available to us.

Because you truck already shipped with 1.2 and you have lane change etc enabled, you would not need to do anything with FORScan. If you truck has newer IPMA software available to install with FDRS, then all you would need to get the newer version of BC is install the newer software.
So I forwarded this exact post to my service writer by e-mail, requesting if I could get an update to my BC (paid for by me, of course).

He ran it up the pipeline and here is his response:
“No. upgrading to a newer version for this vehicle is not supported by ford as of now. Software and updates provided by ford are retrieved from the cloud and bound to the individual VIN. reprogramming will just result in the same software being re-installed into the vehicle. Any available updates in FDRS will be updates provided by ford for this current build. Vehicles that have Blue Cruise “version” updates available will be updated via over the air updates.(see list below).
Blue Cruise is a complex system that controls the vehicle while driving. Attempting to modify anything to do with Blue Cruise using aftermarket equipment such as FORScan is not advised as it presents a road safety hazard. “

Anyway, I'm left disappointed by BC's capabilities. I've only had one significant stretch where it had real usefulness on a road trip nearly all on I-10, where it wasn't bad to be honest. But overall, it's quite worthless.
I did renew it for 3 years at $600 ($17/ month) sometime back because I thought I'd see some real improvements in time, but honestly, it's not worth that in its current iteration. I'd rate it worth about $5-10/ month to me currently.

If updating the IPMA/PSCM software was not supported by Ford, then the updates would not be available in FDRS. It's that simple. FORScan changes are not supported by Ford; that is correct. However, the guys that figured out how to enable the new BC features are not hackers and they're not fools. FORScan is not a "hack". The changes people are making to enable the new features are EXACTLY what would come with the OTA version whenever it is sent out.

With that said: As of this morning, there is new IPMA/PSCM software available in FDRS for our trucks. No one (that I know of) has installed it yet, but I'm sure it is the same software that was released to the Mach E with BC 1.3 a few months ago. It seems like the OTA is finally coming to these trucks.

If the new software stack (IPMA/PSCM) is what Ford calls "1.3" on the Mach-E, I don't think I want to overwrite my current software stack on my truck with it.

Or put another way, what Ford was calling "1.4", and we all loaded on our trucks many months ago,......... It didn't get nearly as many negative reports on this forum as the current stack is getting on the Mach-E forum.

I have enjoyed very good Bluecruise performance on my 2022 Powerboost. I didn't get an opportunity to really test the Bluecruise 1.3 that came on my Mach-E, and subsequently was updated to even newer "1.3" with FDRS and OTAs. (haven't subscribed after the 90 day trial)

I swear Ford has me completely unable to keep track of 1.3/1.4
But the stack released for the F150 back at the beginning of 2024 was good. I do know that. I rarely would want to pass on an update. But dang if I don't know if I should load what you stated just popped up.

You better believe I'm not going to be the first one to do it.

Bro 1.4 solves all of this. I often drive a big stretch here in Vegas on Hwy 215. It is about 16 miles. Prior to 1.4, BC would just randomly disengage on a straight stretch, it would cancel out with a panic sound on slight curves and it would drive like a drunk driver - just bouncing around in the lane.

Now, I can do that same 16 mile stretch without it once disengaging. It has earned my confidence. It is incredibly relaxing to have the truck drive so well for the big legs on the highway and you just chill, drinking your favorite beverage and listen to an audiobook, music, or whatever.

bro basically told you nicely that he has no idea how to update it. Take this into your own hands. It is worth it. We are here to guide

No idea where to even start.
Does one just buy Foescan, load it on their own computer, and get to it?
