Yup. That is weird that everything is configured as if the truck was here. Thanks for your insight.

@mmir As this point, I would try changing the country code in those 5 locations with FORScan, re-scan with FDRS and run the GWM config again. Worse case scenario, you can just change everything back.

Message me and I'll guide you through it. I've done this with people in other countries to address other issues when importing a vehicle from one country to another. Not sure if this will help your cause or not, but I don't see how it can make things worse.
@rugedraw @JEB appreciate you guys helping out.

It is possible that it stays on US codes only. The car gets manufactured in US and then gets exported out to the UAE. If I manage to get another VIN number - can you verify their country codes so we are sure?

I just wanted to point out to a post where another user on a different forum was able to get it working after the same issue popped up for them.

Issue: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ating-your-mach-e-with-fdrs.10217/post-552224

Fix: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ating-your-mach-e-with-fdrs.10217/post-586896

They did the GWM configuration which didn't help and did the TCU configuration after that and that got the modules to connect again. I tried that today but obviouslyFDRS errored out saying the TCU module is unreachable. This other user has a different car and maybe their TCU is in HS1? Not sure but I thought I let you guys have a look at this too.

Yes, I can check with the VIN.

Got it.....that VIN also shows the US country code in all 5 modules mentioned above.
If you can confirm that that other vehicle is working correctly, then the country code would appear to be a dead end.

My thoughts exactly.

Hi again @JEB @rugedraw - this user hasn’t reported any issues.

Sanity check - is there a way to remove the latest update on GWM? Or restore the GWM to factory?

Is the other user an FDRS user? Any way for you to hook up your laptop to their truck and see what you get?

As for reverting, it’s not possible with FDRS. it might (MIGHT) be possible using FORScan Beta if you can get the earlier software/calibration files. But I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re working with a very select group of people on this forum with expertise and experience.

Try killing all power the the vehicle / rebooting it and see where things are. If the TCU was being updated and then modules won't come back, try unplugging the TCU.

Won’t be able to get my laptop connected to their truck I am afraid. Thanks for the reply @JEB - I won’t play with FORScan. ?

Thanks @HammaMan - @rugedraw suggested disconnecting the -ve of the battery to give all modules a nice kick in the teeth. No luck that way either.

If the modules aren't there at all, perhaps the BCM is stuck in a partial power down update mode. I'm thinking either that or the TCU is just flooding the bus with packets. The TCU is on the back wall behind the walls carpet. There's a big black christmas tree pin holding it on that side, pull it out, lift up the carpet a little and pull it out to be able to access the TCU to unplug it's multi-wired connection. You can also go for the fuse but that may also power something else. If you go to the TCU physically, the stiffer antenna connections do not need to be disconnected.

I see what you mean. For the first suspect, will a BCM reset sort that out?

For the TCU bit, any chance you have any photos so I don’t go around on an adventure and pull things out I shouldn’t? I have the TCU update ongoing through the USB and it is stuck at a stage where it keeps telling me to keep door open for 10 minutes. (To avoid any confusion based on earlier messages, the TCU update isn’t being done through my FDRS but with the update provided by Jesse. TCU on my FDRS is offline.)

@rugedraw the second suspect here makes more sense to me. The TCU update by Jesse hasn’t been successful so it is possible that the TCU is keeping it all busy?

It's located right behind this panel behind the rear seat on the passenger side. I have the antenna for my wireless trailer camera mounted here, so I don't want to pull the covers off, but it's right there. I'd leave the TCU unplugged overnight.
