Diehard Battery

Yes, I have reviewed the posts of batteries. Just wanting to know if anyone has replaced with a Diehard. I didn't find any posts that someone did but could be an oversight on my part. I drive my truck but the other day I received notification that system was shutting things down to conserve battery. The OEM battery is two years old and know, from posts, are not that great. Thanks for any feedback.

I don't recall anyone using a Diehard battery. Years ago they used to be a quality battery but I can't comment on today's quality. I see that Advance auto sells them, so the warranty would be nationwide and Advance has stores everywhere, just keep your receipt in your truck.

Put a Diehard Platinum (4-year warranty/2-year free replacement) in my wife’s Jetta in October, 2022. It failed, and got a free replacement on Friday. In my opinion, batteries (of any brand) are now 4 times as expensive and not nearly the quality as even a few years ago. One plus is I didn’t have the receipt, but the staff at Advance was able to verify the initial purchase in their computer, so the exchange was no hassle.

Years ago, decades ago, a Die Hard Platinum from Sears was all I would buy. Then they got tough to find but now I see some of the major auto parts dealers are carrying them.

I do not know what, if anything, has changed over the years but they were always "top shelf" and usually lasted years longer than advertised. Vehicles were not as demanding as nowadays but they were always great.

Advance Auto bought the diehard name in 2019. The diehard battery is nothing but name only, its not what a diehard battery used to be. Just a label.

If you bother to search on diehard and battery and reviews you will get far more information about them.

Overall I want a battery that has a full replacement period and does not start a pro-rated credit until after that amount of time. Many batteries have a 1-year or 2-year full replacement period where you can get a new replacement battery at zero cost.

I have a battery tender plugged into everything I own. Vehicles, mowers, and 4 wheeler

here are batteries listed as poor on one of those items on the online start up page
EXIDE MAXEVERSTART DIEHARD DURALAST NAPA BOSCH VARTA MOTORCRAFT SUPER START
There was a similar list for motor oils and I won't list them but I never heard of most of them even though Quaker State was among them.

I did do my research on this battery but wanted to get some feedback from any member that has installed one. Thanks for response though.

I decided to install a Walmart EverStart H7. Four year warranty was hard to beat and many batteries made by same place, just private labeled differently. I should be good to go.
