Getting it synced with the latest Sunny. Waiting for feedback from one more tester.

latest sunny has open source UI, so we are going to be able to add some ford specific menu items like adjusting the anti ping pong aggressiveness etc. should be synced by the weekend and then custom menus will follow in the next couple of weeks.
Any chance we can get a UI that better demonstrates the change in following distance when we press the steering button?

I occasionally find my comma set to aggressive mode, probably from accidental pushes of the steering buttons, but I usually only notice the change after an unexpected late braking occurrence that I find to be less than the desired 'chill' driving experience I've come to appreciate!

Thanks again to all for the great work on this project!

@tonesto7 is very busy on the UI, both on the device (ford specific menus) and getting the cluster to work as OEM. I'm sure this is on his to-do list. You can thank him for the quick implementation of the BC ui.

I think in the interim I would like to get the native cluster animations working so you can see your comma gap settings displayed in the cluster.

Only one new feature in the update we are preparing. It's small, but a lot of people have asked for it.

How does one get that UI to engage? Does Bluecruise need to be part of the original truck configuration or is this just a particular branch of BluePilot that controls it?

Ajzride - are there plans at some point (or is it even possible) to pull the speed sign information from the truck and automatically adjust the speed accordingly when using Sunnypilot speed control? I love the automatic speed limit adjustments when using the Ford longitudinal controls, but I also love the HUGE improvements they have made using the Sunnypilot LC. I keep setting the SP speed control setting to use vehicle information first, but while it adjusts the speed limit in the display, it never adjusts the speed to match. I'm greedy and want the best of both worlds :)

Currently Ford style speed control violates the openpilot safety rules because it will raise the speed limit above your current set speed. The Sunny one can work, you just have to set your speed limit really high (90mph) and then it will drop down after it sees the first sign and follow from there on out.

Hmmmmm, I do have the digital cluster but can't get it going. Is this the latest build? I've made sure I've checked for updates several times. Any settings in Comma?

the list of compatible IPCs is probably missing your part number. Upload the logs on a short route and send me a message with the li k to it.

Any chance we could get a UI that lets us choose between this, normal, eco, sport, or other drive mode dash when engaged? I kind of miss having the tach on the dash, and like the sport mode colors

..after the other issues are sorted, of course! ;)

We can't create custom UIs, just switch between the ford ones. We are working on a toggle so you can choose if you want the BC or LCA versions of the ford cluster.

I was considering purchasing the Comma but this would be a deal breaker.

To confirm I would not be able to set auto speed limit sign recognition to say +10 over?

There are two options here for speed control.

1) Use Ford ACC for speed control and let Comma handle the steering. This is what I use 70% of the time. This way the ford logic for adjusting speed relative to the speed limit stays in tact. The only thing you lose by doing this is experimental mode (stop signs and red lights, which only works 50% of the time anyway).

2) Use sunny pilot SLC for speed control. It works the same way as ford in that you can set it to go speed limit +10mph, but there is a catch. Sunny won't go faster than the highest speed yo have set using the buttons. I'll give an example below.

You set you turn cruise on at 45mph in a 35mph zone. You come to a 25mph zone, the truck slows to 35. You then go into a 35mph zone, the truck goes to 45mph. Now you go into a 55mph zone, the truck stays at 45mph, because that is the highest speed you have set using the. buttons. You use the buttons to increase set speed to 65mph. Now it will auto adjust at +10 up to 65mph. If you go into a 75mph zone you will need to use the buttons to bump up to 85mph. Now it will auto adjust +10mph up to 85mph.

Does that make sense?

Perfect Thank you!

I’m okay with not having stop sign/red light recognition.

Now I just need to convince myself to be okay with having the screen on my windshield.
