OK, so I have been running the Powerboost for 25 hours straight. About 60 miles driving. About 1/2 of the total time was just me sitting/working/sleeping in it at work, and the other 1/2 running ProPower for fridge, fans, TV for the kids......

It has a 30 gallon tank and in 24 hours it has used about 1/5 of the tank.

I do miss the FordPass features, especially the Bluetooth extended ones. But I assure you that I'm not anxious about running the generator dry. ???

This ain't no Honda 2000
Stay safe and cool.. Hope electricity is back soon...
Propower is a godsend in these situations!

The efficiency of this generator on wheels and the generator itself is frigging remarkable. To neuter this PB and the unique feature of the Pro Power Onboard by removing the monitor function of the app, is almost criminal. :(

You and all the people of TX stay safe down there and I hope you get your power back soon. I have lost power for 11 days and 7 days due to hurricanes so I know how problematic it can become. This was before the PB and you would see grown men crying when they would see a new pallet of D cell batteries show up at Home Depot. :) The pallet would be gone in 30 minutes.

Thanks for all the well wishes from you fine gents.

I've got 4 grandkids snoring in the living room, with fans blowing from 3 directions. I quietly snuck out to the truck with some coffee to catch up on work stuff. (what a mess)

The cellular Hotspot in the truck is working fantastic, so the laptop is unaware of the fiasco abound. Lol

I don't care what anyone says that doesn't actually own a Powerboost. They are magnificent machines! The generator onboard is the quietest tea-sipper ever.

Update from Beryl outage...Gen worked like a champ! With small devices, fridge, and window AC only spent just over 1 gal in 10hrs.

Of course the App is a diff story and worthless. Even the 'range' is not updated on the fly but after pwr cycle of truck. Still displays 405mi from last night but dash has 375, even after closing app, Sign out, and back in no range change. I'll let the FORD team explain to my wife to turn off Gen and AC so the app can refresh, not happening haha! Are they going to make this another 'connection service' we have to pay for like blue cruise?

Have time stamped photo and screen shots to compare/share FORD team.

I found that pushing lock on the app refreshes it, at least it updates tire pressure so probably range too.

Worked! A simple API on refresh but guess 1 line of code was too much to copy. Grrrr!

Amazing. I had a 3500w generator that would have burned at least 6 gallons powering that.

My old 7000 watt generator would burn about 1 gallon an hour under little to no load. 10 hours of runtime would mean 2, 5 gallon containers of gas, feed into a hot generator, and back out to fill up those containers to do it all over again. :(

When the last storms came through here you could not find a generator for sale at any price or find gas containers. When the next storm comes through I have a 7k watt TroyBuilt generator and 4, 5 gallon gas cans that will be for sale for the win! :)

I just had a 13 hour outage due to a tree falling on power lines near my house. I used a Bluetti AC 180 power station with my '21 Lariat 5.0 with the 2.0 kW ProPower. I ran my frig, freezer, fans, furnace (for hot water) and a few lights for the 13 hours. I could run everything from the battery unit for 2 hours then rechange it from the truck in 45 minutes at 1400 watts input. Ended up burning 3 gallons of gas.

For those of us without the hybrid truck, I think this is a good solution so you don't have to run the truck continuously just to supply the 350 watts needed for the backed up appliances. At this rate I would expect to use 6 gallons of gas a day. With the 36 gallon tank I could get at least 5 days before needing to refuel the truck.

Out of curiosity, what is a 2.4kW PB able to run when in a power outage situation? Probably not much other than a fridge, freezer and a couple fans maybe?

My fridge uses about 150w running, maybe 300w on startup, the freezer is about the same. The furnace (oil fired) uses 10w at idle and 250w when running. The fans are 50 to 80w depending on speed. Most lights if they have LED bulbs will be 10w to 50w.

Slightly more power than you can get out of a power strip before its little circuit breaker pops.
