If you unplug the USB from the Comma the relay closes and it just like stock. if you do that and still can't see your modules, it's not a comma problem. Best to start a thread for your device if that is the case.

I was just thinking the same thing. Sorry to hijack the thread. I do have a photo that I want HammaMan to see. Then I will start a new thread. I didn't know there was a relay. Perfect.

Ajzride that was it!. The usb relay was blocking the scanner ability to reorganize the whole Can bus with the VCI

Last night I spent a long time talking to Ellen. I was asking her or it what's the connection at the ipma. She thought it was just a parallel connection. I wasn't so sure. My scope couldn't pick up a data stream. That makes sense now. The relay was closed removing a signal from the end.
Thank you soon much.

@Ajzride Thank you for your time and effort doing this. I have followed your directions in the other thread for a couple months, but had issues with the update on sunnypilot a couple of days ago. I brought my 3x inside the house to try to troubleshoot and saw this new option. Installing it now, and looking forward to giving it a go!

I know this is the F150 forum, but im curious if any of the experts here know if this will work on a Super Duty?
No one has tried, but it is unlikely. The super duty has encrypted canbus modules. I see you are in Dallas, if you are ever in Houston we can plug mine in and see what happens.

So I had no idea this fork was out as k don’t come here often…someone pushed a release of SP last night that put my unit into a loop.i had to factory reset ut and when I went to grab the url, I saw this fork….

THIS IS AMAZING!!!

I have about a 100 mile daily commute, round trip. I just gave it a spin, this is so awesome. I can use the cruise now, it’s not killing my gas mileage anymore!!!

And the lack of wind up, the braking, all of it!!

You guys ROCK!!!

looking forward to testing P2P when you’re ready!!

The goal of bluepilot is to develop, test, and stage Ford specific enhancements, validating them before submission to the SunnyPilot team for inclusion in the parent project.

bluepilot is based on SunnyPilot, and is not intended to compete with or replace SunnyPilot, rather it is a place for early adopters to help vet out updates that can be incorporated into SunnyPilot in the future. All the existing features of SunnyPilot are included and in tact.

Since the controls for Ford on the Comma3x are significantly different from all of the other manufacturers, Comma and SunnyPilot are having trouble incorporating the code suggestions we are sending them. It takes quite a lot of effort to validate that a change installed for a Ford will not have negative effects on a Honda or Toyota. To help get some of the more beneficial improvements into the hands of the Ford community faster, the team is launching bluepilot, a dedicated fork of SunnyPilot for Ford vehicles.

More information on the bluepilot fork, features, and install instructions are available at the GitHub homepage:

https://github.com/BluePilotDev/bluepilot/

installation of bluepilot is simple. Using the menu on your Comma3x, uninstall whatever fork is currently installed, then after reboot during the setup process, use the following URL to install from:

https://bit.ly/bp-stable

Note: If you are unfamiliar with what a Comma3x is, please see this thread:

Hey AJ,

Just installed bluepilot and for my f150 and it's in dashcam mode. On the vehicle page there is no ford vehicle option to choose. Is there another menu for the ford vehicles?

F150 Lightning
Long time lurker. I'm thinking about getting an F150 lightning, and was curious (might be foolishly asking a simple question) of the following:

1. Can the openpilot device work on all trims of the lightning? I'm thinking of getting the cheaper XLT trim and adding Comma3x, as opposed to buying a Lariat or higher with Bluecruise.
2. Do I need the special harnessing? I've noticed on another forum that people had to get a special harness made.

I'm going to be doing an 80-mile mostly highway round trip commute 5 days a week, so I'd like an option that gives me hands free support. Thanks in advance!
