Updates completed, for the most part. Thanks to all the wisdom by everyone here who helped and still helping myself and others!

Few notes/questions:

  1. The only update left in the list is the BCM which apparently cannot be done at this moment because of the NASTF login requirement.
The updates brought my SYNC to Version 23159, revision 915.
According to the version history, the latest version 23167, revision 926. I don't get this APIM update, even after several Network Reruns. Is there a reason? Anything I can do to get it?

  2. For a long time I had IPMA DTC (something with the rear camera, I think it started after enabling Glare Free lights, but I may be wrong. I run the 360 calibration tool and the DTC is finally gone.

  3. The only DTC I still have is SCCM. I cleared and re-run, all was green, but then after another Network Rerun the DTC came back.
In the Self Test it looks like there is a TSB related to it, if I read it correctly:

    1716138603054-63.png

When I click this DTC in the Toolbox, it opens another tab on the far right:

    1716138728578-1n.png

Is there anything here that I can/should run to try and fix it?

  4. Adaptive Headlamps - it may be my imagination, but I noticed that the adaptive headlamps are significantly more "active" and noticeable after the updates.

  5. I reported issues with Waze not working in other threads. It is working fine now, apparently the issue was the older SYNC/Android Auto "communication" with Waze.

  6. Windows - there is definitely a change in the front door windows' behavior. I have a wind deflector and before the updates, when auto closing the windows they would drop back down about a quarter way because of the narrow path that the wind deflector causes.
Now, after DDM/PDM update they are dropping back almost all the way down.
I don't see a Power Door Window Initialization in the Guided Routine Tab.
How do I go about re-program them?
Thanks.
SCCM glitch is a known issue. No current fix. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ecu-module-programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-431609

I try updating the APIM and it fails. Message says to get closer to the wifi. My router is next to the truck. The file gets to 100% and FDRS says it has failed. Any help with this? I hit retry and it tells me to insert a flash drive. I do and then it downloads the 984 MB file size. Once it's complete it says it has failed again. I attached photos of the messages.

New to this forum... Bought a 2021 a few months back and realized right away there were some issues with the truck. Took it to my local Ford dealer who charged me a bunch of money only to tell me it's going to cost a few thousand dollars to replace many different modules and my apim... I didn't bite and started my own research reading a lot and thanks for all the info, but there is a lot to dig through. Last week I got my cables and on Friday purchased 2 day FDRS and started my updates.. I got a few to take but had many end with errors. I did however get my APIM.(After many tries and one time leaving me with a black screen for about 30 mins) to now show a sync version rather then a blank and show automatic updates.

But with a few hours remaining on FDRS license, (yes I know it's Sunday as well) I figure I would reach out and see if anyone has some thoughts of what steps to take next to maybe get more updates accomplished... Posted are the SW updates that's will not do anything, they all start to load and then say they had an error.

Stupid question does your hard drive and the USB drive both have enough free space for the download?

You were able to recover from dead APIM version? Congrats, that is a rare achievement.

First use the clear and retest to get everything green on left side. Then try running update again, if it fails post screenshot of it in this thread. That will make it easier for those that might have seen the error before to help.

My hard drive has 2 GB. I'll delete more files to create space. Do you know what's the total size of the file? That might be it then. I didn't even think about the storage space

I would keep at least 10 GB of free space when using FDRS.
APIM can be up to 6 or 8 GB if it is replacing all the files. Some updates do or sometimes it is only partial update.

I did the clear and t retest.. still left 2 in orange. But it did allow me to start the PCM update.. currently working through that. Might be a minute.. I'll try o others after that finishes. I'll post back once I get to stopping point again. Thanks for getting me moving again. Here are the 2 that are still orange.

Okay, that was the only SW update it let me do. IMAP, PSCM, APMI, and IPC all show the following error...
Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS 1000004381

The ACM will allow me to update it, but I've done it probably 5-6 times with restarts between, driving the truck, etc... Just seems to keep popping back up.

The BCM update won't allow me because it says I'm not authorized... Made an account the other day but still doesn't work. On there website, I see other complaints of this error and it looks like they have reached out to Ford already.

@Shane S I'm not familiar with that error. Might need one of the gurus here to check into your truck software given the codes showing. Updates that keep coming back like a zombie happen to all of us sometimes. Common issue with that and eventually it will go away.

One of my APIM updates was 6 GB, so 2 GB available on your hard drive could be the issue.

OK, an update on this, trying to finalize.

Edit:

Windows - there is definitely a change in the front door windows' behavior. I have a wind deflector and before the updates, when auto closing the windows they would drop back down about a quarter way because of the narrow path that the wind deflector causes.
Now, after DDM/PDM update they are dropping back almost all the way down.
I don't see a Power Door Window Initialization in the Guided Routine Tab.
Scrap that, I should have read more carefully. It is in the module itself. Found it and run it, but this didn't fix the issue.
To recap: My auto down/up windows never stopped working after the update.
What changed is the "safety" drop-down: If the window is closed and there is an object in its path, it will immediately go back down. Prior to the update, it would drop down about 1/3 of the way. After the update it drops down 3/4 of the way.
My question is - is there any way to change how much it drops for safety, bring back to drop only a 1/3 of the way.

Also, if anyone can address this:
After all available updates, my current SYNC Version is 23159, revision 915.
According to the version history, the latest version 23167, revision 926. Several 'Network Reruns' did not pull this APIM version. I was hoping to get this before my license expires sometime tomorrow. Anything I can do to get it?

BTW - how do I know which power-up version I am currently on? I searched all over the place in FDRS and could not find it.

Thank you.

You can only speculate using Rugedraw spreadsheet in OTA thread. I checked sync version every update and tracked when that changed and the updates in between APIM updates mostly match with the OTA schedule. A few cases they will jump versions ahead but with everything interconnected it seems to follow the same schedule in my personal experience.

Door modules I assume that is the change they made now since they have had 3 OTA to address the door modules since 2021. Each one changes something.

23291 is current for 12 inch screen trucks, not sure what you have in yours. There are issues known to forum on Ford side that cause update to not release for install. You need a module or two before the next APIM update will show up but it's broken so can't see it.

I know it's not answering your question, but have you tried the window bounce-back procedure in the owner's manual? If that, works, it may negate the need for the question?

Latest version I see is this:

(Which is rev. 1049 or something?). Others can say if there's anything you can do to get it, but I don't believe so.

You will only find a loose correlation between powerup version and sync version. Top-left of an item in tonesto7's GitHub shows the equivalent powerup version when a sync version is mentioned.
