When I look at it I tend to see it after tint paint matched grill handles mirror caps and one piece tonneau cover. With good wheels and tires maybe a splitter and stripes. Shopped well that's about 7 K..A 2 wheel drive at Granger's price (36K plus TTT) it will be a very nice ride under 45 K..

I almost bought a 24 XL reg cab w/5.0 and 3.73 rear with the intent of making it a little hot rod- maybe an exhaust and definitely some wheels. But the more I looked at the front end and grill the more I decided against it. There was just no way I could make it look good without spending a ton of money on it. I really like the 23 STX grille- probably my favorite of all the F150 front ends, so I ended up with a 23 SC 2.7 and I'm pretty happy. Does anyone else think Ford really screwed up the grills on the 24's? They just look cheap-like you're looking at a scale model. Interestingly, this is also a topic on the Mustang forum because the grill on the 24 Mustang is also very Fisher-Price looking- ie, cheap.

I was so glad I found a ‘23 Heritage equipped how I wanted. After seeing how bad the grill looked on the ‘24’s I said NOPE.

To each their own. I guess right now is the best time.. you can buy both "designs". ;) Maybe Ford should do something like the RAM Warlock (the previous generation trucks still being built and sold)... kidding.

Here are some pics for comparison (same color and trim as OP truck, but 2WD). This is a 2WD, but it's the closest that I could quickly find. I don't know... I'm leaning 2024 in this case (OP truck is still very nice too!);

I like the two-tone grille on the STX much better than the '23. Pays homage to the mid 90's trucks and doesn't demand attention. I think it's both understated and unified with the body. The headlight bezels really optimize the look.

I can hardly wait to see what the next few years is going to bring with these trucks. Soon, LEGO will be doing the bodies and the chassis because they’ll be plastic entirely. I see those new wheels that are all rubber with the honeycomb inside as a cost savings measure, not as, a run flat safe tire. The main reason I bought my 23 STX was just because of issues in this thread. It’s so disappointing. Recycled water and milk jugs for $70,000. The funny thing is, the price could be half if they actually use recycled materials. Seeing as how less than 6% of all recycled materials are actually recycled in United States, I think we’re using Virgin plastics.

The 24's definitely look better in darker colors- it kinda hides the grill. The painted grill bezel also looks better but it still looks awkward, like a big slab that they stuck in there. But, yeah, personal preference... Ford will still sell millions of them and we will get used to it.

The black gloss painted version looks good.

I think the overall look is nice. Slam a 24 and make the right mods, it would be awesome.

That said, with the chrome bumpers, the front end looks mismatched.

My big gripe with the 24 is the boring colors, no lead foot, Area 51, azure grey is lame. The swanky colors were selling good too so odd decision to go back to only dull colors. I think they got rid of red pepper too. I think the market is done with the standard grey, white, black. A little variety is a good thing.

Agree... that's why I went with an $80K Lariat (Atlas Blue) o_O Was ordering a Platinum Plus, but after finding out that the Bronze color is so dark (I guess it is called "Darkened Bronze Metallic".. what did I expect. lol), I went the path I'm on now.

I had the red color on a previous truck (or close to it) as the Sport Special Edition (or whatever it was called), and every other color is a shade of grey (sorry AM Blue is black as far as I can tell with my bad eyes). If they made Azure Grey Metallic for 24' (or some other "pretty" colors), I may have gone that way.

It's all personal taste but the black edge that goes around the HL that has the reflector in it looks really cheap. And the FORD emblem is horrible it isn't a badge, it's a sticker that looks like they bought it off etsy.
Agreed about the emblems. I see these emblems (blue and black) all day cause I work at a Ford Dealership and they look like cheap knock off ebay or etsy replacements. Its really sad to see on a $85k+ platinum truck. Looks really bad. I'm glad I went with the Ford performance badges. I understand what ford is going for, trying to modernize the logo but this was just not the right way to do it.

Not sure on the illuminated logo but maybe others will redesign the grill like Roush have.....

YES! Bring back Cariboo, Estate green, Atlas blue (believe that was discontinued as well?) Mandarin copper metallic, maybe Blue Jeans?
