I have a loaner Bronco right now while my truck is in the shop getting the IWE replaced. The dial shifter is far superior than the crap shifter in the F150.

A better one, with physical stops and not feel like I'm spinning on some game show. The drive mode dial annoys me enough.I've already tested the rotary shifter so you guys can stop pretending you want it. You don't want it.
Is it a definite position rotary switch? The one in the MME just spins and spins and spins. I believe they've since changed the design, but still not sure if it's an actual switch or not. I just really hate the hall effect rotary nonsense.Yes, my Ram rotary has detents and light indicator for each stop. It’s worked flawlessly on my 2016 which I’ve owned since new.
I don't know what that mess is but I'd walk away from the sale.I think a lot of it is what you get used to. I really like the column shifter, but I grew up driving Super Duties and Suburbans. The center console one in my Expedition reminded me on my mom’s old Hyundai Santa Fe, wasn’t my thing. My buddies Ram has the dial and he seems to like it, but I assume it took some getting used to. Chevy is bringing the column shifter back to Suburban for 2025. They had a four button setup the last few years.![]()
