The dealer won't get paid to install updates for you, so most aren't going to do so. You'll have to either wait for them to come OTA or install them yourself with a Mongoose tool and FDRS.

Not saying I trust my service advisor but he said they had no problem doing them while the fixed the other issue. Guess we will see. Haha.

I am about to take my truck in for some warranty work and was wonder if I had any updates I should be asking them to install while they have it.

Your truck has not been sent an update in months. However, being a 2023, it was already built with the older problematic software. The updates you are missing are to prep the truck for future updates, so you aren't missing out on anything yet. I doubt the dealer will update it for you, but if you can get them to do it, good for you.

3.5.4 was the last OTA you got. No OTA's have been sent to you since then. I do not see anything wrong with your truck; it seems to be talking to Ford's servers just fine. You just haven't gotten any love from the mothership in a while.

Same response as above. 3.5.4 was the last OTA. Your truck is just waiting to come up in the next push of OTA's they roll out.

Can I get a VIN check and screenshot of the results? I've never received an update for SYNC or Ford Nav that I know of. Truck says I'm still on sync ver. 22026_Rev 354, and nav version 1.54r.20210415.1ccee3b5

Sync page in OTS does show it got an OTA that day, but it is too deep into it's history for me to see what update is. I am not familiar with the Super Duty updates, but no updates in almost 1.5 years does not seem normal to me.

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm looking for. Dealership keeps looking at the truck's sync update screen and telling me everything is up to date because it says there are no updates. Hopefully this will give them the additional push to explore further.

Can you see what Ford is doing to figure out my messed up headlights? The service advisor said a new HCM was ordered and I told him to not bother since that has already been changed and didn't fix the problem.

Headlights still look drunk with weird aiming when remote start?

I did confirm on my truck the headlights never come on with remote start only when I hit the start button I see the dance.

If it's not a broken module then I'd guess something is weird in your as-built data causing headlights to turn on when they should not.

I get a bunch of trouble codes complaining about the motors that control the headlights and electrical failures. Ford has the truck so I hope their engineering team figures it out since the warranty is up in 90 miles.

They seem to have replaced the HCM, but are struggling to get it to program it.

As mentioned above - I got update 6.1 yesterday. It shows in my Fordpass but no email confirmation as yet. I was surprised that my sync Version stayed the same -23159. Maybe it just my lowly non power boost xlt?
